Immigration has built our country. My poor great grandparents were treated pretty much the same way Mexicans are today. They told my grandparents that were lower than blacks, they wouldn't sell things to them, they were told they were ruining America. Yet they persevered and we have always been contributing to the culture of the US. My ancestors were Irish.

No, because I have never been against them. I was trying to point out the real reasons some white Americans are against them. It is really the same reasons as the white Mexicans. I like them too... I have not one thing against them as a people. But no, I am not tired of fighting the fact that they are coming into our country illegally. We as Americans are told and taught to live within the law... now we have an idiotic president and congress that want to just say.. " the heck with law.. come on in".. It is not right, it is not fair and as Americans we have to stand up and say so.

You must not understand what a negative impact they have on our country and its legal citizens.
We will never tire. You don't understand issue, we have more than enough people here to take over jobs. When more people come to any given area, more jobs are needed. When people leave an area, less jobs are needed. Before illegals came way less jobs were needed. Illegals use lots of products and services, when they leave less products and services will be needed. Prices will 'drop' and cost of living will 'drop'.
Like them or not, they will continue to come until the wage rates are equalized.
We can never make the crap we purchase from other countries and maintain a standard of living higher than they have. So, while I agree that they are decent people, we maintain an open border at the peril of the vaunted American Dream.

let em come. i think its great. we have it better here than most other countries, and 250 million people from now we are still going to be a prosperous country. if 1 person has a better life in the US because they jumped the border then i am glad. plus, i would rather have 10 more illegal immigrants in the US than have my tax dollars pay for someone to live on Welfare.
What do you think is the average education level of the illegal immigrants? Not very high. We have enough uneducated people burdening this country. Also, all money they makes doesn't go into our economy, a lot of it gets wired back to Mexico. It is a huge part of their economy. That's why the Mexican government doesn't do anything to stop this problem. But hey, you have a thing for Hispanic men, so, what the heck, let's turn into a third world country too.

it is annoying but you have to realize the social and economic consequences from that. if Mexico was strong enough in both of those areas an open border policy would be placed in no time. but since Mexico is soo poor and the government is well its a organized crime family and that is being polite it would drain America (as it is we are leaking like a siv) we don't have the resources or the man power to accommodate such a juggernaut of a task. if Mexico could get its act together and do more for its people then we could really accomplish something.

See how you use the term ilegal, yes a lot of immigrants are at the margin of the law. But when you drive, do you really go the speed limit? When you were in college or hs, did you wait until 21 to drink?? How many Americans drive without insurance or a valid driver's license? How many more don't cheat on their taxes?

The problem is that illegals have no way of becoming legal. I can see if immigrants had a way of becoming legal, but they don't. If they did, then I could side with those who see illegal immigration as a criminal activity. Most people say that this is not an ethnic issue, but I think it is. We would not be having this debate if the immigrants were from Germany or England.

We all get tired of it from time to time cincy but I personally will never give up and I will never stop fighting. I can't look at my son and say I gave up because I was tired. His future as well as the future of many American children depend on us and we are making progress so don't get discouraged.
