Are we supposed to learn fast in order to work in USA?
Answer:
I think you did good with your people skills when you chose to entire this country legally. Do what ever you feel is necessary to better yourself.
And welcome to the United States of America!. Good luck with everything you do.
My guess is that since you are a LEGAL immigrant, you probably already have tons of people skills.
Good luck to you!
well depends what u want to work
and dont say ur legal or illegal cuz that doent matter NO BODY IS ILLEGAL all of us are equal
u could take some more english classes if u want to improve ur english skills
but it's up to you
Things are pretty fast paced here. Unfortunately, we lost some of the small gestures of courtesy as a result. The best thing to do is to try to look at what the people around you are doing. Americans are very direct. If you're speaking to someone, look that person in the eye and say what you have to say (diplomatically, of course.) We also expect others to "make the first move" for friendships, such as inviting someone over to the house for dinner to meet the family, etc. We also like more personal space than most people from other cultures. Don't crowd us or get in our faces -- we take that as an invasion. Once you get used to our ways, I hope that you'll find us to be very friendly! Welcome!
How much you earn will be directly effected by how fast you can learn. Depends on where you're from. If you are from Europe or South America I don't see you having much of a problem adjusting.
If you are from English speaking far east, Pakistan, India, Hong Kong or the like. Those people seem to do pretty well for themselves here as well.
My mother speaks spanish and one of my customers only speaks spanish so I took her along to translate. My customer owns a tortilla manufacturing facility and ships out semi-trailor loads daily. Most of his employees are his relatives. While I was taking some field measurement my mom chatted with the customer. She said he was a cab driver in Mexico City before moving here, now he and his family are prosperous business owners. Only in America they say.
Do what you can. Learn what you can. Not a big deal. WELCOME!
Looks like you already have some people skills. Your English was great on the additional information you supplied. You showed appreciation to those who might answer your question in advance, good work.
learning more people skills wouldn't hurt. It is something we native born could use a little more help with in application.
Looks like your going to be a winner! Good Luck!
No... go home
You would be surprised at the lazy people who work in the USA. If you want to work you will find labor jobs, or just about any type you can think of ,and you are legal so I say Go for it, my friend , and Good Luck to you.:)
You could be a number cruncher if you are a math/computer expert
No people skills required at all
People skills? No just learn english, work for the true minimum wage, and have a positive impact on America.
Some ppl learn faster than others.
As long as you can speak proper english, I think you'll be alright. Welcome and good luck.
