everywhere I go they all say the same bad things about us
but in the same time they all dream to live in our country
maybe I become to old
but I can't understand this anti Americans attitude..

I have been to several countries, most people were very polite and didn't seem to have any animosity towards me or Americans in general. Those that did have a problem with the western world's existence seemed to want the US to be enslaved to either one of two religions; Radical Islam and/or Socialism/Communism.
Well the couple of times I've been out of the country I never had that problem, even though I was told I would. i found people quite pleasant.
yeah, it sucks. I just don't travel much.
I have been to many different countries, no one talked bad about the USA to me.
everything is about perception...
our media tells us over and over again about how horrible this or that culture is... and we begin to hate people of that race...
same thing goes for other countries about us... they hear bad things from their government so they stereo type us.
do you really think that every person in other countries believes that america is bad...not so... its just what our media wants us to see so that we will justify the wars our country is in...
this is a very technical and philisophical question... to correctly respond would take a 10 page essay at the least.
its a deep question with lots of points to cover... but that is the basis of my beliefs in this response

I have been to Europe several times since Bush was elected and everybody was always nice. They do like getting the big juicy tips we Americans tend leave them. Europeans don't tip because 15% service is normally included but we (the people I travel with) usually leave another 10 to 15 % anyhow.
They're always going to hate us then because I lived abroad before Iraq or Bush and they hated us then. They're just bigots. Get over it. There's no reason for it except they're haters - just like the Middle East hates Israel. It's not our governments. They hate Jews and Americans. If we had global communication back in the 80's, you would have known it.
But it's nice of you to make excuses for haters.
Democrats gone bad! There resentment of a 2 time lose against a republican has pushed them over the top. The brutal and insensitive verbal attacks against the President are example of why we all need to vote for the man/woman no longer the party they represent.
It has been many years since I have been out of the US but it depended on where I was as to the attitude people had towards Americans. Some people liked us and some don't just like here some people like you others don't. It also has alot to do with the political climate between us and them and like one of the other posters said it is a deep question with many points to cover.

Yes, these third worlders think that everyone in America is rich. Jealousy is rampant and immitating us and wanting to be us is the most sincere form of flattery. However, I've never been one to need the flattery and the most sincere wish of mine is that these people would just go home and I wish they'd all quit asking us to bail them out of their own troubles. We can't save everyone in the world and I think we should definitely stop trying. Look what it's gotten us.
we understand why they want to come here but the reason they don't llike us (or why other groups dislike us) is because of the war.
there are 2 groups, the people who like us and want to come here and the people who don't.
