Honestly, do you think that CIR will be brought up again and passed within this year?

Like I said, answer me honestly. My opinion is that it will.

Many news sources report that the Senators who supported it, especially those who introduced it as well as the President, are working to resurrect it and get it through. With a sympathetic Senate Majority Leader and a President who is now working harder than ever to gain GOP support, I think this will be brought up again within a few weeks and passed. The House will take it up soon after and here we have a bill for Mr. Bush to sign, which he will.

Any non-hateful answers will be appreciated, but I am expecting quite a few, considering this is Yahoo!Answers. All threats, slurs, accusations on my character or patriotism etc. can be made below... I really don't care. It's the internet!

Answer:
Sorry to be so dumb at the moment, but I have been under major stress this past few months. Refresh my memory. What is the CIR?
i don't think it will pass unless it has several key issues. I think the people were heard in this non vote and the killing of this bill. A majority of the people in this country to not want amnesty.. so if a bill does come forward, it better not grant amnesty or allow benefits for the illegals who are here or it will go down in flames. but the republicans will not support bush on this issue...
I thought that with the drastic changes in Congress and a pro-immigrant president, some immigration reform would go through. I don't know. This is not the first time this has happened. I have my doubts any immigration reform will be passed anytime soon.
no
I can answer you in a non-hateful way:

NO!

We, the CITIZENS of the United States won't allow it. We stopped it this time, and we will, BY GOD stop it again.
CIR is the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2007 (S. 1348) which was shot down in the Senate by a considerable majority. It is refreshing to know that many senators still listen to the people that they represent. I have gone and read those who voted "yea" or "nay" and it is very interesting to see who voted which way, to say the least. Oh, and to answer the question there is no way to know if it will pass or not, because many lawmakers are choosing to ignore the people.
No I dont. the party that passes that bill ensures its losing any future elections.
I'm not absolutely sure Reid is as sympathetic as he says he is. Why did he force the cloture vote while Bush wasn't in the country to muster support?

However, I am against the bill, which I think is terrible, so I'm fine with it.
Nope - I think it is dead.

HOORAY!!
The vote wasn't on the bill itself. It was on the issue of cloture (to end or not end the debate over the bill). A yes vote from your senator means they don't want to talk about it anymore. A no vote means they want to continue talking about it. The bill is not dead, and the debate will go on.
