How come there were only 300 Mexicans at the Alamo?

Answer:
Because they only had two El Caminos?

Hahaha, I love that joke! Wrong category (should be in the joke forum) but it's still funny!
because there were more americans than mexicans...just the way mexicans are no overpupulating the US. thats why Aemricans are so alarmed..because they know what these inmigrants are up to..THEY DID IT THEMSELVES BEFORE
Because they had no idea what a great country was in the works here.
what the hell does this have to do w/ immigration?
Because back then, there was no welfare and Lone Star Cards , and benefits they could steal from Americans,,,,
Mainly because most of Santa Anna's rules, regulations and laws didn't affect them directly. They only affected the (Americano's, Anglos, gringos) who were living in Texas at the time.
The Mexicans it did affect were the large ranch owners more so than just the average working for a living Mexican.
Because they came in only two cars. Oldest joke in the book.
They ran out gas and had to stay home
There were 2000 mexicans at the Alamo... In the end General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna lost approximately 600 men,and the Alamo was remembered, as well as the Goliad massacre,(perpetrated by order of General Santa Anna)
Cause the rest were too lazy to go?
The rest were in the lettuce fields
