Me and my wife areTurkish citizens. Would our child get U.K passport if she was born in England?

Me and my wıfe are Turkish citizens and we live in Turkey but she wants to give birth to our daughter in England. If our daughter is born in England would she get a British birth certificate and get a passport later on. Thank You.

Answer:
She will get a British birth certificate, but won't be eligible for a passport unless you are fully, and legally, resident in the UK at the time.
I surely hope not. I think it is terrible that you should even think of trying to get your daughter British citizenship like this.
u only have to hit the submit button once!
Is turkey that bad.. try iraq.or iran.. your not realy wanted over here britain is now full... ask the polish
Tell your wife to pop that kid out in the USA. The Americans are daft enough to let anyone born there have citizenship. The British will give her a British Birth Certificate but won't allow them to have a passport unless the at least one of the parents is British/has permanent residency. If she's born in Britian the only thing you'll do is screw them them up and make them stateless until you can apply for Turkish citizenship.
The British have hundreds/thousands of years of being a unique culture and a strong country. Why should they continue to Islamify/muddy their land by letting people from countries who have spend their entire existences in poverty/mediocrity slowly take over everything?

Have your kid in Turkey, and leave peoples with a culture and history much more important than yours alone.
No - the laws changed in 1983. The only way your child would qualify for citizenship is if you were legally settled within the UK at the time of it's birth. :-)
sorry don't take this personally, but why is it you all want British citizenship, do we have something more that the rest of the world, if so what is it, because I'd like to know ? are you not proud to be Turkish if not why not,and if you want your child to be British, why do you not want to be British or is it a case that this is the only way you can stay in this country ?
The baby's birth should be registered in the UK, but she would not become a UK citizen. This could only happen if one of the parents had either UK citizenship, or Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK.

Good luck with the birth!
Turks are not wlcome here in usa first let the kurds have their own country!
Capissh?
no, you have to be british citizens as well. nice try!
You are a despicable person for even suggesting it.Just how low will you stoop using an unborn child to get British recognition. The child when born will not be elegible for a passport.
I hope not, and for the record that is really out of order trying something like that. You and your wife are turkish and living in Turkey. Give birth to your child in turkey and enjoy the rest of your days in Turkey. Don't be trying any stunts like that.
