What about history? Should we let them work?

I just got finished taking my final college history class, and I learned something very new and disturbing. The hispanics that were living in the west were told by the government post-civil war that they could work in the US for free. Eventually not too many years later, the government started making immigration laws. So my question is, since we kind of took there land, shouldnt we let them work here?

I wasn't alive during the civil war, just like I wasn't alive during slavery. Why should I be held responsible for or be expected to make reparations for stuff that happened long before I was born??

I think your liberal professor left out some significant parts of that history. I don`t mind them working here if they live on your land and you pay all of their expenses.
I pay a heck of a lot of my paycheck in taxes to support programs and people that I frankly don`t want here illegally.No one says they can`t work, they just need to follow the rules and law of the land in regards to legal entry.We are over populating , burdening many a town and system, Too much air in a balloon makes it pop eventually.
