On Friday, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said misinformation and anger about the bill was such that "in my 15 years I've never received more hate or more racist phone calls and threats."
That's the grass roots flood of mail to our representatives that
she was talking about. I think that our own elected officials
are playing the race card to shove a bill that is in the worst
interests of the American people down our throats.
They still don't get the picture. They work for us, not the illegals. We've got to keep letters going.
Unbelievable. It seems these traitor law makers are willing to do anything to shove amnesty down our throats.
I think we need to keep the heat on and continue to call them and let them know what we still think of this crapy bill.
BTW ~ did you see on the test vote that Feinstein voted yes and Boxer voted no.
Feinstein also said the reason why this bill didn't pass was because Right wing talk radio got people all rilled up. This ticked me off!! What is she thinking that we are a bunch a sheep and is mad because we didn't follow her?

I think this is excellent. I cannot wait until they bring it up again, and I have hope for its passage. We must bring out of the shadows, teach English to, assimilate and turn these people -- even if they are almost all *gasp* Mexican (there, I said the "dirty" word) -- into trackable taxpayers. Just look at what Senator Feinstein said about her never in 15 years receiving such racist and hateful threats. I say it just goes to show you what the opposition is really made up of. And you criticize me for playing the race card! The race card is still valid, even now in 2007.

I hope they are unable to get it up again. I hope the citizens continue pounding on them all until they finally have no choice but to do what the citizens and taxpayers of the country want them to do. I can't believe how resistive our representatives are to listening to those who voted them into office and instead are trying to do what Corporate America wants them to do - keep the supply of cheap (slave) labor flowing into the country. I think if everyone continues to fax, write, call, and do whatever they can do to pound the message home, we have a chance of finally getting through, especially with the election coming closer and closer. While they want to cater to where the money comes from, they ultimately will find out that it is the common taxpayer who puts them where they are and that is where the money really is for them, as in salary and retirement pensions and all the other perks they get in office.
KEEP IT UP, PROUD AMERICAN CITIZENS!! YOU WILL PREVAIL!!
I think I will be forever on the phone! Whatever it takes,no dropping our guard until this is over and we see deportations and a secure border.
