How do i acquire citizenship?

i got my permanent residency when i was 13 in january 2002, should i apply for naturalization? or is there some law that says i can be citizen by the time i turn 18?

Answer:
if you got your Legal Resident when you were 13...Don't matter the age that you got it just that you have to wait 5 years since you become resident 2002 in 2007 you can apply for your citizenship...You have to free of felony of any crime what so ever .
Another thing is that the whole 5 years you have to be living here in the States...Not outside of States...Thats why they say 5 years living as a Legal Resident...Good luck!!!! I got my yesterday it feels great to became an American citizen...God bless the USA!!!
There's no law, you can apply to become a citizen 5 years after you became a permanent resident. Go to the INS web site for more info.
Apply for naturalization and take and pass the test!
I suggest that you check USCIS.GOV and read the paragraph how can I acquire citizenship? or requirements for citizenship. There are many issues involved.
My recommendation wait until you turn 18 and paid your taxes on time.
