I agree with what you are saying. Unfortunately, it is a lot easier said than done!! Our government does not want to go after those companies because they are in bed with most of those companies. Nor do we have the resources (police department, immigration) to go after every illegal in the US. You also have to remember that once illegals get deported, they just turn right around and re-enter the US illegally again!
But something has to be done and done NOW!!
There is a right way and a wrong way and I think they have broken the law.
The only thing that would create is the introduction of $10 lettuce in the grocery.
You are misinformed. The common American is against this bill. The uncommon and arrogant politician for some reason ignores the common voter and is for this bill.
Why? I have no idea for it would ruin this country.
It would be impossible to round up all the illegals. However, they would go away if we fined the hell out of employers that hire them. Jobs dry up for illegals, then the illegals have no reason to come here any more and go back or stay home.
Great answer, but no one is going to do this.. Why i don't understand.. They are illegally here and should be sent home.. companies should be assamed of themselves for hiring them and Yes they should be fined and the money should be used to enforce the borders and to send them home. We should also ask Mexico to help pay the price too to bring them home or place some sort of santions against them too.

don't people understand, the more people coming here, the more resources we need. so there for prices will go up like they are now. it saddens me when we have to get down to a child's level to try and explain this to them. i also agree with the guy above me, but there are people out there that can't help being on welfare. i don't mind my tax dollars helping out American citizens. as long as a child is eating and has a roof over it's head. hey, I'll help with pride.
Rather, get the home address of everyone that says they should be allowed to come here. Hand that address out to all illegals in need of a bed or food. Watch the change.
Actually, it's not everyone who's against stopping the illegal crossing. Those who are against it have huge profits/advantages invested in the steady flow of illegal aliens. companies like Bank of America, Walmart, Citibank, Home depot, many of the meat packing companies, the landscape/garden/nursery businesses, Hotels, Cleaning companies, Construction businesses, Restaurants, fruit/vegetable farms, etc...
The lettuce theory is beyond a joke already,with gas prices soaring there is nothing that will keep the price of anything down,the only thing illegals will do is increase the price of everything as they benifit from our government assistance programs and use up our recources because they multiply like rabbits.In almost every major city in America, over-immigration has taken its toll, in the form of increased traffic and pollution, higher crime rates, over-crowded schools, financially exhausted hospitals and medical centers--and the list goes on. Every major environmental group is fighting the specter of urban sprawl.
Laws already in the books are not enforced, because someone is profiting from the cheap labor. As long as this is allowed, I don't see and end to this problem.
