so is it a problem this illegal music things ??
r they allowed to inspect your i pod
i mean IS IT A BIG DEAL OR NOT
ps: i tunes only accept US credi cards and they dont have my kind of music !!
Answer:
Nothing
So is this supposed to be your debate as posting here on the immigration section..ok..I'll bite.. ILLEGAL MUSIC...IS ILLEGAL...AS ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION IS TO JAIL!
police focus more on the provider rather than the reciever, so not a big deal unless ur checked
Technically you could be arrested for it. Probably no one will ever find out. They're not going to check every song on your iPod.
Who gives a crap. No one will know unless you tell them. You have all this music at home. Your safe.
They will cut you into tiny pieces and feed you to homeless people.
um...well the government here is not allowed to "inspect" your ipod lol. actually the government really does not care, its the recording companies. if anyone wanted to inspect your ipod, it would be the owner of a recording industry, and you can say "no get away from me" and their is nothing they can do. plus, you cant tell if you have illegal music on an ipod by looking at it. you would have to plug it in to a computer first. if its a big deal to you, just buy your music legally. hope this helps.
They won't check what kind of music you have in your ipod! and they wont ask you where you got the music from either! so don't worry man!
what the hell do you think there going to do " sir i must check that 80gb ipod for ever bit of information to make sure its legal we cannot have you smuggling music that you cannot remove from the ipod into the united states " they dont care at all
the authories don't look through every damn song on someone's IPod
If the US customs say anything (which is highly unlikely they will because they are too busy looking 4 and irrigating people with the name mohammed or Bin laden) just say you have the originals back home...They have no way of checking. Dont worry.
nobody will inspect your ipod
mare13: this is not a debate forum. it's for asking and answering questions. there is no problem with this question.
The US authorities already know exactly what you've got on your iPod, you rotten tea leaf! They're lying in wait for you and as soon as you are in US air space they will arrest you, and probably kill you (but not until they finish torturing you), and you will wish you'd never let your grubby little hands even so much as stroke a computer, let alone stand against the awesome might of the RIAA!!
Either that, or absolutely nothing at all would happen. Definitely one of the two.
They will take ur iPod into custody and torture it.
They'll hopefully be too busy to worry about such things. My you, Migra can be cussed just for its own sake.
probably bomb your country
electric chair.
i know security is tight these days but i don't think it will go to the extent of going through your ipod, don't worry, enjoy your trip
The only time your Ipod will be inspected is at the security check point. They will ask you to turn it on and off - like they do for mobile phones, camera equipment and other electronic devices.
They will not be going through to see what music you have on it - & they will not want to know how you got the music on to your ipod - they are more concerned with the fact if it is part of an explosive device.
Who would be inspecting your IPod? The US is not a police state.
Firstly, authorities will not check an iPod. They see millions of iPods every day; looking through them, each at a ridiculous number of songs, would be a total waste of time.
If they did, hypothetically, search through your iPod, without a computer and some pretty advanced software, they cannot tell the dfference between a "legal" and "illegal" song. They are the same, just one is paid for. In fact I doubt it is even possible to tell an illegally acquired song from one ripped off your own CD.
Lastly, if all of the above occured, and they somehow found some highly illegal music, they wouldn't care. Authorities have better things to do with their time, or so we're told, and finding one person with some downloaded songs is nothing to them. In fact unless you had the plans for a terrorist attack stored on your iPod, they don't care what's on it.
Take all the music you want, no-one will care where you got it from, and certainly won't be able to find out. Just don't boast about it to the head office of Sony.
