Where do I apply for a Fiance Visa (while in the United States) to move to England?
Where do I file for a Fiance Visa in the United States and also in England. I do not want a website that tells me they will be my lawyer.
Thanks
Answer:
Your question is not really clear, and I am not an expert but have lived overseas
In general US citizens wanting VISAs should check for intormation at the US Department of State website {www.state.gov}.
If you are in UK want US passport visa info, besides visting the above State Department website, you might visit the US Embassy in London UK .
I have seen many new books on the subject matter in the public library which would be certianly cheaper than an immigration attorney. In fact, I too may be looking into the subject matter myself in the near future as our oldest son lives & works in London UK and his fiance is half Irish-half Polish except he or they never plan to live in the USA.
That's the system for fiances moving to the US from a foreign county. If you are marrying a UK citizen, just go ahead and get married, then inform the foreign office of your relationship.
The UK and the US both have websites that tell what processes to use.
