How quickly people forget that our country was built by people who were leaving problems in their home country to come to a better life in the US.
How quickly people forget that a large part of what we call the US was actually Mexico not that long ago.
Many forget that they have been living on this hunk of land we call north america before european settlers claimed it for their own.
But I guess that's just america. See something you want, and take it, without thinking of how it might affect others.
In short, should honest, hard-working people be able THROUGH LEGAL MEANS to come into our country and continue our long and rich history of immigration?
I can't think of any reason why not, other than Xenophobia.
And let's also not go changing the immigration restrictions or set quotas, as this will only encourage MORE illegal immigration...

We have traditionally allowed peoples of all nationalities into the US, those that came legally. The problem began with the Amnesty bill in the 1980's. That just created the problem we have today.

My opinion is that if someone, anyone, from another country wants to come to this country to live, as long as they do it legally, I have absolutely no problem with it. Its the illegals that I don't like and don't approve of. Get the proper papers, make it legal and come live with us.
Legally yes, they are welcome. Illegally stay away, you are not wanted.
If was living in a country that wasn't giving me and my family a decent life or the opportunities to do so, I would seek refuge elsewhere, whether it was legal or not.

Might as well make Mexico a state. Really, it would be easier to patrol the border too. Well, I don't want them to have to go bc many of them care more about this country then some Americans do. And they scare all the crackheads and drunk out the ghetto. yeah, it is nice to have them.
I think we should welcome any legal immigrant, without regard to race or nationality. Our country was founded and built by immigrants.
I also think we should welcome legal visitors to this country.
But if somebody sneaks into the country because they're too lazy to go through proper channels... . When they steal the benefits illegally that citizens have worked for years to accumulate... When they try to make us into carbon copies of their miserable selves because they're too lazy or ignorant to learn our language and to adapt to our culture... well, that's another thing.
If ANYONE (Latin-Americans included) wants to come into this country then they need to apply for a Visa or for Citizenship.
If they can get here through that process then they are more then welcome.
We don't need more illegals hiding from the police, hiding in the shadows, not paying taxes, not having car insurance, not having an identity that can be found in any system.
They probably don't want that either. It's a very stressful life to be an illegal alien in America. This country is not the pot of gold that the rest of the world thinks it is.
Did you know if you move to Mexico land will cost more for you and you can only keep it for 99 years (never truly own it ) even if you marry a citizen and become a citizen your self . If you come here legally welcome if not go to jail .
Depends I believe if they are coming here for welfare and free money and just to have American kids then no. Also we don't want the stupid gang bangers tagging our walls. To work and make a better living for themselves and help us with the jobs we wouldn't dare to do (cleaning toilette's,waitering,construct... etc) then yes.
