I appeared for B1 visa at chennai and she told me that i have gone through visa process, but i have to go through administrative process (10 finger prints) and will take weeks to months and i can check status online.
Did anyone has gone through same process and how much time is required to wait. What does she mean by " gone through visa process " Please share your views

It depends entirely on what you have done in the past that warrants checking on you now. For a simple FBI check we can get an answer the same day, sometimes. Others take longer. If you search your memory, you might even realize whether you will actually get a visa at all or not.
