Black Americans are totally against illegal immigration! Mexican illegals need to stop trying to play the race card & stop trying to get American citizens to think that Blacks are on the side of illegal aliens. I am a middle class American citizen who is sick & tired of supporting illegal aliens with my taxes!
Deport all illegal aliens! Especially Mexican illegals who have the easiest access to our borders & take full advantage of America's generosity!

For this to be a civil rights issue, the people involved would have to be citizen's. There is no civil rights because they have none. They are criminals. And you are right, Americans of all races don't want amnesty.

I have never heard illegals try to compare their situation to the civil rights movement. I think this comparision is a stretch, even though illegals are mostly hispanics, and both blacks and hispanics are minorities that are sometimes discriminated against. but looking beyond that obvious similarity, I see a lot of differences:
1. the ancestors of black Americans were forcibly brought over here, whereas illegals come over on their on volition
2. during the civil rights movement, black Americans were citizens of this country who had standing to demand rights and equal treatment from the government. whereas, illegals have no legal standing here to demand rights. Any legislation the government passes to give rights and benefits to illegals will be an act of generosity, such as lessening the sentence of a criminal, rather than a recognition of rights that were always there.
one comment though..as for your claim that all black Americans are against illegal immigration, that is painting with a pretty broad stroke! I have been to a couple of immigration rallies where there are some black preachers and community leaders speaking favorably about giving rights to illegals.

Write your senators, and congress members. And especially Bush. If you're a young person this is a mess you will be left to clean up. As older folks are and will be dying off, and they don't care. Only because they won't have to be around to see what happens next. You will be.

You are playing the race card. You can not judge all supporters of immigration by a specific group. That is common sense, maybe you need to find some.
Immigrants pay taxes it is the law! If they are hired under any employer even if they are not reported, they receive a check, they are still taxed! You don't pay anything!! What happens is, they are not eligible to file for social security nor medicare or welfare as of 1986... wake up! Learn the law!
Yes there are those who get paid under the table, but they are of all races even "white" Americans who do not want to report wages due to child support. SO don't only blame the Mexicans. Illegal Immigrants are not only Mexican... they can be from everywhere, you know Asians come in from boats, some Europeans fly in. Canadians just cross over. Yet the Mexicans who don't fit in are the ones who become the scapegoat! GET OVER IT ALREADY! Deal with it... they are going to be here forever.
