Answer:
Stay in Turkey it's a lot warmer, and we are a bit over crowded here with all the immigrants and traffic jams and all that kind of stuff, and you get taxed to the hilt, I think I'll come to Turkey.
OK - this is very easy - assuming you are British. Forget the VISIT visa (even if you've already got it). Go to the British Embassy and apply for a SPOUSE visa. This will allow your husband entry for two years and afford him the right to work in the UK. At the end of the two year validity he can apply for indefinite leave to remain (ILR). Apply smartish - before the fees go up (they are due to virtually double but I don't know when). Don't bother about trying to enter as a visitor and doing it in the UK as there would be a strong chance of being refused either entry or any subsequent attempt to switch visa category.
As you are married you need a spousal visa this will automatically give your husband a 2 year work permit. (I'm assuming you are a British national) You have to go to the British embassy in Turkey and you need to have with you various documentation to support your application. Both your passports, tenancy agreements (or if you own a home mortgage papers etc) proof you have enough money to support him while he lives in the UK eg. bank statements, you need 6 months worth of payslips, you have to be no recourse to public funds, birth certificates for you and your husband. If you google British Embassy in Turkey and click on there visa section then they will list all of the necessary documentation. Applying for this visa cost different amounts in different countries i know in Tunisia it was 650 dinar so ruffly the equivalent to that. This is none refundable so if your application is denied you dont get this money back. You have to go to the embassy for an interview and if successful your husband will receive a visa on his passport by the end of the day. I hope this is of some help, good luck to you both.
