Do I have to pay customs for my household goods if I retire in the Philippines if so how much?

I am a retired US Navy, but I was recruited in Subic when there was still an agreement between the US and Philippine government. Is it true that we are allowed to bring back our household goods tax free?

Answer:
In my experience, personal items won't be taxed.
