Do I have to update my childs passport if they have changed to look at?
Answer:
They have taken into consideration that children grow up faster. Understandably, they will not look exactly like their picture on a passport. For as long as the passport is valid, there will be no problem.**
If the passport is still valid, you don't have to change it.
There is no necessity to change it until it falls due for renewal.
Besides, it costs a small fortune nowadays, and by the time his or her passport is renewed there will be all sorts of biometric gubbins in there.
Leave it for now and start saving.
wow, your baby has changed the last 3 years, I'm completely amazed !!!
check the valid to date in his passport ...
In my personal opinion, I think people should update their passports everytime their apperance changes.
1) If someone loses a lot of weight, or gains a lot of weight.
2) If someone changes their hair colour.
3) If someone gets older.
4) If someone gets plastic surgery and they look different
But, that's just my personal opinion. I honestly do not know what the law is for passports.
Good Luck finding the answer.
Cheers :-)
You don't have to until its expired, usually with kids you have to renew a passport every 5years.if its still valid...leave it..
With all of the pro-active requirements for passports for children... (anti-kidnapping and child stealing laws), I think it would be a very good idea for you to update your child's passport.
American passports used to be issued for 5 years and I was always amazed how I had changed every time I renewed mine. After 10 years, I am an entirely different person.
I still renew my passport every 5 years and I think that is long enough between renewals... EVEN FOR ADULTS... and ESPECIALLY for children.
No they have the common sense to know that babies will change as they grow up!! They run for 5 years so if they were bothered about that they would make u update them every year!
They are so fussy now with us that you will have to change it.
Children need to update every 3 years. Adults every 5 years.
Stop worrying, just put a burka on him.
