Why is it such a big deal that illegals are here?

they make these laws and do sting get all the illegals and bring them back these people are very hard workers and they just want to work and have better lives for there families some people say they are taking are jobs i never had a problem ever getting a job i always got paid very well never went to collage or even finshed high school these people have risk there lives to get here in some very dangrous condtions so i think if they made it let them stay has anyone seen the way they have to live down there it not that great

Answer:
I totally agree with you. After all, if you think about it, many of our ancesters came the same way. Why do we now have to discriminate? It is our government's fault they jump the border. If they made it easier for people to work here, it wouldn't be so bad. Also, illegals will never go away when you have companies who will risk bringing them in just to save a few bucks here and there. When you have illegals, you don't have to pay them minimum wage.
They do a lot of things we Americans believe that we are too "high class" to do ourselves.
Oh geeze... sing me a sad song and I'll cry you a river. why don't we just negate all laws and let people wander around willy nilly taking what they want when they want. Maybe you could open the doors to your house as an example to speed things along.
If they want to live and work in the US of A then they need to become US Citizens and learn to speak English like the millions of other immigrants who came to the US did to get a better life!!
Well, if they are so hard workers and are so much wanted here, why do they not apply for a position and get it with decent conditions? Coming into the country without a valid passport and visa is a criminal offence in most countries. If you become a criminal just by the mere act of coming, what do you want other people to think? Yes, you can insult your fellow citizens by calling them xenofobic, but that will not give those poor people something to eat. You could, of course, but not force your fellow citizens to do so. We all must be ruled by the same laws, and breaking them makes nobody a better citizen.
People who come illegally have not helped support our facilities, and even if they do when they start working legally, they use them.
If you would like to do something for those unhappy people who need to come over here even illegally, you could go to their countries or send them money so that they can start businesses or schools, or hospitals, so that they can stop coming here and lead a decent life without being forced to split with their families, friends and culture.
If you can assure me that ALL of them just want jobs and a better life for their familes, and that NONE of them are escaped rapists, murderers, habitual drunk drivers, or terrorists, and that they won't burden our already overburdened welfare and health care system, then I won't have a problem with it.

Until then, I will continue to have a serious problem with illegal immigration, as it is a drain on our society's resources and a law enforcement nightmare.
Sir, have you ever heard of 'the law'? It is when a society confirms a rule or regulation concerning a problem in the hopes of ending or at least minimizing said problem. Hence the word "illegal". No one has a problem with immigrants. If these people were so "good", they would do what they should, as other immigrants have. They are lying to our census bureaus and stealing from you, whether you know it or not. Your tax dollars are funding people who have just essentially snubbed your laws and TAKEN your money. This doesn't even touch the tip of the iceberg son. It gets worse.
They are disrespectful of our laws. Send them packing!
Its a big deal because they broke the law to get here in the first place. As to them working hard and making a better life- for everyone like that there is one who will break other laws. Saying they want a better life is not a reason to break the law. I cant rob a bank( break the law) to have a better life.
They are here ILLEGALLY.
Nobody is arguing that many of them are hard workers. But many of them are not hard workers. Many of them are here killing, raping, and stealing.
The argument that they are trying to make better lives for their families, is honorable, but not necessarily true. They have their own country, and they should stay there and effect the changes in their own government, to make their lives better. This is how Americans, made our country better for Americans. Hard work and sacrifice.
Seeking assylum is the US to escape being poor is not acceptable. Seeking assylum to escape religious, political persecution is fine, not to come here to pick lettuce and oranges. We award work visa for that.
First off it is illegal, which means they are breaking the law. The taxpayers also have to pay for all of the services used, the education system is becoming overloaded and slowed due to the fact that children of illegals do not usually speak English therefore need special attention which slows down the learning process for our children.

Your job might not be affected but lots of other unskilled labor jobs are (for example the mining industry which pays very well and the construction industry which also provided a good wage for unskilled labor). The children of illegals are being educated via taxpayers and then going to college and taking skilled jobs AT THE EXPENSE OF TAXPAYERS and your child.

The hospitals are being bankrupt by illegals using the emergency room as a healthcare system and running off on their bill, these are real life human beings loosing jobs because hospitals close.

Crime increases when illegals settle into an area. Property and house values plummet also and for most people that is their biggest investment. Many other problems arise because of illegal immigration and you may not mind paying extra taxes and higher premiums for your healthcare but most of us do.

It is also a REAL LIFE safety issue, look at the Fort Dix, NJ situation. Many Many more REAL issues.
It is ruining our children's education. The schools are hugely overcrowded and being taught by teachers on emergency credentials, and a huge proportion of the funds are siphoned off to pay for ESL programs targetting those who wouldn't be here if their children weren't here illegally. OUR children's programs are cut, and in our area, music PE and computer classes only exist because parents pay for them out of our pockets. In other areas those programs, along with gifted and advanced programs OUR children used, have been cut to fund ESL for millions whose parents are illegally here. Also, our own poor go to the back of the line because illegal aliens with unprovable incomes 'seem' poorer 100% of the time. That impacts health care as well as schools, AND college funding and admissions.

There are too many and they are too poor to pay their way in taxes, or even a substantial portion of their way. Their better life is at our expense and their children are not more important than our own.
yeah ok... first off, they are not risking much trying to get over here, cause apparently our border control is only there to scare them, if they actually shoot then they go to prison...and most of the illegals in this country are from Mexico, which my friend is a FREE country.. so what are they risking, and what very dangerous conditions are they facing??? They don't live in a communist country- like Cubans- THEY risk alot, they risk their lives, and they have to go through very dangerous conditions to get here... and if they make it they do get to stay... because we do have sympathy for them... but people from FREE countries have no excuse.. they have every opportunity to come here legally- so no I don't feel bad for them and never will- there are poor people in every country.. including our own.. let's start worrying and caring for our own Americans who work hard and need a better life for their families- before we start worrying about people from other countries, who are breaking the law
Try visiting southern California and see if you feel the same way. Ever been to Tijuana?
Not one comma or period in 15 lines of garbage.

"Big Deal?" Because we don't want you here. You bring TB into our country. You sap the money from our school systems. You sap the money from our hospitals and emergency rooms. You live 20 people to a house.

You destroy the property. You kill and rape our daughters to the tune of almost 9000 murders a year. You drive on our highways with no insurance and you pay no taxes. You steal our identification numbers.

NEED TO KNOW MORE? Go flat foot the fence in the other direction. Go home. We don't like you. You're il-legal. You're law breakers!
I guess maybe it depends on where you live as to whether it's a "big deal" or not. I guess it depends as to whether or not the ones who settle in your area are assimilating and becomming part of your community or trying to turn it into Lil Mexico and driving people out of their homes and communities as to whether it's a "big deal" or not. Maybe it's not a big deal if they aren't selling drugs or are gang members. Maybe you are lucky and have quiet families who work and go to school but many are entering communities who do nothing but drink, vandalize, sell drugs and cause tremendous problems.

Everywhere I have lived very few are working at jobs. They are mostly selling drugs and alot of stealing or running dog fighting or *-fighting rings.

I suppose it's "no big deal" if they aren't taking your job or keeping you from getting a job with "must speak Spanish" but for those who have lost their business because they couldn't compete with the "cheap" labor or are being kept out of jobs they are trained and educated for because they don't speak Spanish (even though they may know other languages) it is a big deal.

Maybe you like living next door to a bunch of loud guys, drunk, blasting their music till the wee hours of the morning, whizzing in your yard, running an extension cord from your house to theirs, just taking your picnic table or whatever else you have because they want it to sit on and saying dirty things to your pre-teen daughter while grabbing their crotch.but there's quite a few of us that don't and it is a big deal when you have to be basicly locked away in your home because of the unsavory things going on.

Maybe it's no big deal to get lost and end up in a town where no-one speaks English. Maybe you don't mind getting slammed by a drunk who is illegal, has no insurance and just "runs".leaving you there.

Maybe you don't care about whether or not people handling your food have been screened for contageous disease. Maybe having someone stealing your identity is no biggie. But for others it is.

I don't particularily care for 2 legal systems. One for illegals and one for citizens.

I don't really care what life was like somewhere else. That is no excuse to run rough shot over the people of this country and act as if we all personally "owe" them something and that they are "entitled" to things even citizens don't have.
What about the other 100 million that want to come here? Are you going to let them in too? And the 100 million next year and the year after, etc. What about them?

If you want to live in a country that is crowded without law move to India or China.

But illegal aliens are criminals and should be punished and deported! Along with the traitors that support them!
They broke the law to get here and are breaking the law every day they stay here illegally. We have a right to know who is in our country and when they sneak in illegally we do not know who is here or why. We understand wanting a better life and to provide better for your family.we want these things too, but we do it legally. Many of the illegals have children here and then try to stay in the country because the children were granted US citizenship by default...this is exploiting the child...we punish other people for exploiting children but they want to be rewarded for it. If/when they get caught and deported they cry that we are breaking up their family and how cruel that is...they are the ones who put their family in this situation, not us (you don't hear protests about breaking up families when felons are sent off to prison...but it really isn't that different, laws were broken and now there are consequences). People being here illegally is a slap in the face to every law-abiding citizen of this country and to every immigrant who came went through the time, expense and work to do the process legally.

Also...just because you don't agree with our view doesn't make them (as you put it) "a@@hole answers". We are enraged and with very good reason...these ARE nice answers.
