US govt just as corrupt as the Mexican govt? Untill recently I would have said no....?

Absolutely without a doubt they are just as corrupt as the Mexican Government.
They vote for the border fence pre-election and refuse to fund it post-election.
They prosecute two border patrol for doing their job and continue to keep them in jail despite knowledge that DHS lied, the prosecution was guilty of misconduct, the judge refused to allow evidence that would help the defense etc etc etc.
The government continues to allow birthright citizenship even though the authors of the 14th amendment were adamantly opposed to it and the Supreme Court has never ruled on it.
Our government continues to aid and abet this criminal enterprise by providing billions in taxpayer funded services.
The Government continues to lie to the American people. In 1986 they granted amnesty to 3 million and promised enforcement. They gave us the amnesty but not the enforcement. Today they want to grant amnesty to 30 million and are again promising enforcement. Do we trust them based on past performance? They have already proven that we can't trust them.
Kennedy is one of the biggest proponents of a "comprhensive plan" wonder why? Didn't Papa Joe make all of his money smuggling? It would appear that maybe they are still in the business except now it's a different product they are smuggling.?
I agree our goverment has lost my respect at this time,but I am still hoping it is not as bad as the Mexican government. I will vote Tancredo for president,and hope he can work on fixing the mess this country is in.
I don't think highly of the US government but they are angels compared to the corrupt Mexicans! (This is not a racist statement - this is a matter of opinion so don't report me.)
Not ONLY is Bush wanting to reward these criminals by giving them amnesty, but he has ALSO been working behind our backs, to have OPEN BORDERS with mexico and canada!!!
I agree because they are going to turn this place into Mexicmerica. That's what's going to happen if that is granted. They want to destroy this country with every fiber of thier being.
When we took the land that we won in the Spanish American War we got it because we won the war. We didn't steal it from them! Now they want it back because we devoloped it. If they still had it it would look like the rest of Mexico.
The sooner that we face the fact that our government doesn't care about the people the sooner we can clean them up ourselves.

The America that my father grew up in, the America that my grand-father fought for -- no longer exists.
America today is nothing more than an economic zone which will soon fade into irrelevance.
That being the case, I would almost welcome the Russians if they invaded the US.
I'm trending towards seeing myself, not as an American anymore but only as a Christian and person of European decent. I hate thinking like this, but the facts tell me, I'm just candy-coating reality to think the US is alive and well.
