If someone jumped a fence into my yard, then demanded to be treated like those who already live there..?

..should I forgive the crime of breaking and entering and allow them to come in and live amongst my family? Even if they were poor and can't find work or shelter. Then, lets pretend that they invited more of their friends to come in, and demanded that we conduct our day to day affairs in their language. Should I treat them like one of my friends or family members who have my permission to come inside?

Also, how is this not a perfect microcosm to the current illegal immigration problem? Do people really have the right to go wherever they want without me having the right to defend my property with violence if necessary?

Answer:
I believe that you have a point.
yes and they should be able to help themselves to what is in your fridge, NOT. NO AMNESTY!@!
In some states, one can kill illegal transpasser on his property if there is a proper warning sign...

"transpasser will be shot
survivor will be shot again."

**haha**
Throw him back over the fence with a big lump on his head.
You have a right to defend your home and your property any way you see fit.
We should treat our border just like the mexicans treat there southern border.
call the police
The situation you sre explaining is different then those illegals. some of them came here for a better life. yes some did break the rules. but everyone just wants a peace of the american dream. they just want a better future.
Speak for your self, I on the other hand understand the Immigration problem, something must be done. Our borders must be fixed and these people deserve to be treated fairly. They come for opportunity, to survive and FEED their family.

Tell me all of you, would you not do the same for you children?
i wouldnt have a problme with it if they paid their taxes like everyone else. instead they work under the table and get away with the services citizens should get. The mexicans should be monitoring their borders better
It would be trespassing, not breaking and entering. however, to better understand what this country has gotten itself into, we have to look to rental law.
I know we didn't let the first ones in, they just came here. But with rental law, if you allow someone to live somewhere, and they invite more people to move in, those new people have the right to stay.
Did you ever try to evict someone from a rental. The nastiest thing they can do to you, before eviction, is let someone else move in. Then you must start the eviction process all over again with the new person.
Sad but true, it has happened to my family with a rental.
I'm pretty sure this whole 'burg isn't mine to begin with.

...and unless you're a native american, we all did whatever it was we did to get to the U.S.

I'll be damned if I'll be one to fault their methods.

Besides, with all the money this country has -- we can afford to absorb them until they get on their feet.

Gosh -- we sure do love hatin' on people, don't we.

Jeeze.
I'd shoot em!
This is a very farfetched idea regarding illegal immigration. You can't compare it to someone jumping into your backyard. This nation is huge and there is room for more people. I understand that sometimes when you see traffic you want to deport everyone but you have to understand why they left their homes and came to work here. The conditions they used to live under would be considered sub human and that is something most American do not understand. And they do pay taxes trust me I prepare their taxes!
