She may have signed a contract but there is nearly always a way she can get out of it; she will just have to work notice. Check the immigration website to help her apply for a work visa; since she has you, and you can sponser her it should be fine coming over here in the first instance, to work.

Is she ready to go from Singaporean culture to the English one? I to have family in Singapore and it's of course a very respectful and safe place to be...she's have to get used to something quite different here.

Probably best if she got herself a British husband, I'm sure she could get herself some old fat trainspotting type who will keep her in shiny bags and argos gold.

Check with immigration, but from what you've stated, the last I've heard there should be no problem if you are willing to act as guarantor for her.

Hello, I have been to Singapore, it is a world away from England, where the people expect everything for very little effort. Do Not get conned by the big money men! at worst you could end up pregnant, at worst you could end up on 'the game'. Things in Uk are not as cut and dried as they should be in the Singapore, the job you mention is very, very, open to abuse. If I where you I would think of joining the much needed medical profession, even if it takes a little longer to get here. For god only knows , decent medical staff in the U.K. are at a premium, so why sell yourself short as a nanny to some rich ***** who should never have had children to start with. Love your country and hope one day to return there. A wise old english gentleman.
