Yes of course you can, and don't worry about claiming asylum we have no immigration checks so go straight to the area of your choice ask for a council house and that's it, hell even the postman will deliver a welfare cheque to your door every week all courtesy of the tax payer.. from political point of you, you may claim asylum in ANY country in the world. I sense that, somehow, you are taking the p***.
Go to Spain, Bulgaria, Greece, France, UK- all you need though, its a stromg, legitimate case.

You can claim asylum in UK but you will not be able to work here [except under strict control] until your case has been dealt with.
You should expect at worst to be returned to Bulgaria if your case for asylum fails as is often the case.
If you are told you must report to the police on a weekly or daily basis and fail to do so, you will be deported. No quibbles.
