i agree with everything you said expect the part about paris hilton, regardless what's going on with imigration she still broke the law and was convicted. what we need to do is vote someone into office that can fix and enforcement imigration laws.

Paris should serve her time (without whining about it!) and illegals should be deported (or jailed then deported if they commit any crimes while they're in the U.S.). Employers who knowingly hire illegals or who don't do the proper background checks to determine that the social security #'s and other I.D. provided is valid should be fined and/or imprisoned. Once this is done, illegal immigration will start to diminish and should discourage future illegals.
We're just too "soft". Prior to 1990, we had very little illegal immigration because we manned our borders and stopped every vehicle, boat or plane that came into this country to determine whether there were any illegals on board. Now, most of the time, the border crossings are wide open and our local police in most communities are prevented from even asking whether a suspect or jail inmate is here illegally. THIS IS JUST WRONG! Our National Security demands that we know who enters our country and for what purpose they are here.

The Dems want the illegals here to give them a boost of a voting pool when they become legals. The Republicans just want them to be taxed like any other worker in the US. If we could get rid of all the illegals, unemployment would be next to nothing, but there are too many Americans that want to live off of wellfare or disability and not work or to deal drugs and get the government cheese and housing, so it wouldn't work to get rid of the illegals anyways. It would be nice if all those people could stop cheating the system, but when their kind pass the plans on how to do it to their kids, it just keeps the problem going.

You views on who wants the illegals here are slanted by the media. Most big business, Rep or Dem, want them here for the cheap labor but won't say it out loud. But you are right. The illegals should not be here. Remember, they are called ILLEGAL aliens for a reason.
But to answer your question, Yes, Paris Hilton should serve more jail time than the average illegal alien. Do the crime, pay the time. But the severe criminal illegals, well, if they are not supposed to be here and they suddenly disappear into thin air, well if they aren't supposed to be here, were they ever really here?

I think that illegal aliens should serve more time than Paris Hilton because Paris is a citizen of America. If people haven't learned by now Bush is a total dumb idiot that has no clue what he is talking about. I think we Americans need to start worrying about the illegals than what Paris Hilton does in her spare time. Paris didn't rape or do any major charges. Paris Hilton yes deserves her punishment of 20 something days or even more, but illegals should spend alot of time in jail and be deported back to where ever they came from.
