If Mexicans are such good hard workers, then why don't they work on making Mexico better?
Answer:
Simple.
Their government is corrupt. It collects taxes but that tax money never goes into developing infrastructure and thus creating new jobs.
Yet OUR government continues to maintain diplomatic relations with theirs. THAT is the problem.
Maybe instead of paying China and India to make products for the Walmarts to sell,we should support the Mexican economy and send them the business.Then the Mexicans would stay and work in Mexico.

I agree. I have said instead of letting them come here, use up the social services, and printing half of our signs in spanish, we ought to tell them stay home and CHANGE MEXICO to a place where they have opportunity. Overthrow the mexican government. It is a corrupt socialist government.

Uh. You really think that the average Mexican laborer has a chance to make Mexico better? Say it ain't so. Everybody comes up with these rediculous suggestions without having given any real thought to our illegal immigration problem. Yes, it's a real problem but if you folks continue to listen and quote your politically favorite sound bites like this then we're all doomed to never finding real solutions. Jeez.

If it were not, American businesses would be trampling all over each other to build factories in Mexico. A few have but they usually end up longing for the relatively inexpensive American factories they left behind.
Union leaders and local politicians in the US are dirt cheap to pay off compared to Mexican politicians and police. The reason for this is easy to see when you know how things work in Mexico...

Because the world is more complicated than that.Wealthy countries exploit poorer ones for their cheap labor and natural resources all the time. What baffles me however is that people in wealthy countries seem genuinely surprised when that comes back to bite them in the butt. Lack of perspective and foresight, not to mention a basic understanding of economic realities.
