What will happen to the Republican politicians who supported amnesty?
With a crisis only very nearly averted, I wonder how long people will put up with politicans who no longer feel compelled to represent their constituencies' interests in Congress.
How can we send this message -- or do you think they "got it" this time?

I have the lists of who voted what. I WILL NOT vote for any politician regardless of party affiliation that voted to support this bill in any way. We came whisker close to having our country put up for sale and sold down the river by these morons.
They will lose to the other Republican.
Well it wasn't any of mine, but as a Republican they should be voted out for someone that supports this nations sovereignty and security!

I would love to be able to say that I will steadfastly vote against any Republican who votes for amnesty, but I cannot. All that would do is give the White House and Congress to the Democrats, who not only support amnesty, but will raise taxes, retreat from the war on terror, and generally screw things up as usual. If there was a viable alternative, I would go for it, but realistically, I'll have to vote for the bums anyway.
Fortunately, John Ensign and Dean Heller are both on record as opposing any amnesty (and I always vote against Harry Reid), so my decision is pretty easy. Its the Presidential nomination I have to worry about.
No, I wont be voting for any politician who supports amnesty...I will vote against the two Democrats in my state...if there isn't any here to vote for then I just wont vote.

Although there are some Republicans who support amnesty, there are many who do not. It is the Democrats who support amnesty and it is specifically a very liberal group of those Democrats who were instrumental in killing immigration reform because they didn't think the bill went far enough in terms of benefits, etc. to illegals. Why, then, are you more concerned about what happens to Republicans, instead of Democrats, who may vote for it? Personally, I'll not be voting for any politician who votes for amnesty (democrat or republican).
As long as there is no REAL campaign finance reform, the Republicans believe that "Greed is Good" and the Dems believe in giving a "free" ride to everyone, I'm not sure Members of Congress are capable of representing their true constituencies. Is it any wonder there is so much voter apathy in the US? And yes, I'm a Rabbit who votes, despite our limited choices.
No.unfortunatly I don't think they "got" it. The defination of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Right now..they're still trying to "word" it differently.sneek something in.no.they learned nothing more than to how polish up their act. Nothing really about true change.
I believe that McCain will not gain the Repub presidential nomination because of his strong support of the Shamnesty bill. Most Senators will be re-elected because the power of the incumbency is very difficult to overcome. I will work to defeat my Senator, Lindsey Grahamnesty. Senator Arlen Specter, R-PA, what a waste of air!! he is one of the cowardly pieces of trash you are referring to. I certainly HOPE he gets the hint, but I highly doubt it. You must remember, Hazleton is a part of PA, and we are inundated with illegal aliens all over the larger cities in PA. Apparently Arlen thinks amnesty will get the votes from the "former" illegals so he can stay in office. No one else is going to vote for him.

We need a complete change of the guard. The morons who voted for the bill should be ousted. I will not vote for the moron's from CT, Dodd and Lieberman. I have contacted them numerous times telling them I am ashamed to be associated with Connecticut. They don't care.
By the way, they're trying to bring the bill back to the senate. They want it passed by July 4th. Stop it now.
