I know the point you are trying to make, but the pro-illegal alien supporters will not respond to this question and if they do they will plead ignorance and pretend not to "understand your question" or will respond with sarcasm. It hurts their argument. They know as well as you or I that because of a porous border, drug smugglers, murders, rapists, and other criminals of the worst sort are allowed free access to our country just as easily as anybody. But if they agree with you, then they have to agree that we have to secure our border by any means necessary, which HURTS THEIR CAUSE!! So they will ignore posts such as this and cling to the claims of racism and "poor aliens" that only want to support their family...at America's expense.

I am against illegal immigrants from any country, yet, if called upon to do so, I would patrol a border unarmed, An intelligent person is never unarmed.
In an isolated area, I would be sure to have a GPS unit, and a radio in order to provide information to law enforcement of the whereaboutsand direction of travel of the drug smugglers.
In the event that a vehicle attempted to run me down, then I would take that action as an immediate threat to my life, and I would arm myself in order to protect myself in the event it happened again. Everyone has the right to defend their life.
