And why is there so little talk on MyTend about these Businesses that do this and are rarely prosecuted for it, and a lot of talk about the immigrants themselves?

There's been lots of talk on Y!A about how businesses should be held accountable for their responsibility in the problem -- and the answers (especially among core conservatives) are usually that the business owners should be severely penalized financially for contributing to the problem.
You're absolutely right. There are two sides to the coin -- we wouldn't have such a huge illegal alien population without incentive for them to be here. And business owners and lax to nonexistent enforcement of immigration laws are the other side of that coin.

Two wrongs do not make a right. Sorry the business people should be in prison and the illegal immigrants deported.
In short both are breaking the law and are criminals.

Immigrants aren't villains,they are legal.
Illegal aliens and the employers both share equal blame,I have brought up that point many many times on YA. They both are committing a crime and both should be punished.
The employer but the ILLEGAL alien is a close 2nd. The employer is slightly worse becasue if they didn't hire the illegal aliens there would be no work.
However the ILLEGAL alien is a criminal for breaking our laws. Don't pull that crap about the fact that they are just trying to "make their life better." That's a copout.
Besides the ILLEGAL aliens are also stealing jobs from Americans that are "willing to work" and want the jobs. These criminals (they are breaking the law so they are criminals) also steal identites and SS#s.

I think businesses are largely to blame. I think fines need to be HUGE for employers who hire illegals. I also think there needs to be a better way to verify citizen status.
Illegals are also to blame they are breaking the law by coming here illegally.

The businesses that hire them should be fined out of business and the owners put in jail.....You might not want to hear this, if people break the law and trespass in a country that they dont belong in, then they should be punished as well.
Maybe what they could do is stay in their own country and protest their own government for changes to better themselves instead of them coming here acting like they have right!!!!! If the Lawbreakers were not here then the companies would NOT HIRE THEM!!!!!!!!
Good point. Your next question should be why Bush is cutting the jobs of the people who go around inspecting the businesses suspected of hiring illegals. Or ask why he is cutting the jobs of tax auditors who bring in about $4 in gov't revenue for each dollar of their salary. Would you give up a 400% return on investment? I wouldn't.

The real Villain is the Federal Reserve and IRS.
While the big business is wrong for doing this, they would not have the chance if the illegals were not here to begin with.

Our government is complicit and big business knowingly revels in 'denyability' but the perpetrator who comes illegally and takes for his family our children's classroom space, teacher time and education funds, as well, often, as other services, not only IS a villain in the story, but is the biggest individual beneficiary as far as I can tell. And they KNOW they broke the law to take what they weren't entitled to.
Compassion is one thing, but the only victims here are US, and our children, sick and poor are the biggest victims.
That's true the businesses should be held to a higher standard,what they ought to do is make the punishment so severe no employer would do it. Right now it's a pittance,I think Swift will end up paying about 1/3 of what they saved by hiring illegals in fines so it's a net gain. My personal opinion is make it about $1,000,000 per illegal employee anytime one of these companies is caught knowingly hiring illegals and then we will have some action on the part of employers to stop the problem themselves.

There isn't one "villain" there are many. Every person, business, organization and government that encourages or assists illegal aliens to enter and nest in the USA are the villains. Every American who puts the needs of illegal aliens over the needs of American citizens are the villains. Your posts are sympathetic to illegal aliens, so you fall under the "villain" umbrella, but then again your nick is "clueless nerd", which explains your stance.

Added: Of course, she should be deported. What part of illegal do you not understand? It is people like your friend that make the immigration process a joke. There are people who waited years and spent thousands of dollars to move here legally. Good grades does not excuse the fact that your friend's parents selfishly pushed their way to the front of the line.
If your friend went to public school, she contributed to the overcrowding, and taxpayers paid for her education. If she went to college, she used taxpayer money that could have gone to an American student. Your friend is probably working, and her position should be filled by an American citizen or a legal immigrant.
It's too bad for your friend that illegal aliens have been swarming into this country by the millions, bringing back eradicated diseases, committing crimes, and killing citizens.
We have to deport everyone, and those who go through criminal background and disease screening, and complete the legal process can return to the states as respectable citizens.
If we give amnesty to everyone, we might as well refund (fees and compensation for time) the legal immigrants who didn't sneak into our country. No amnesty, immigration laws should be enforced.
Added (2) - More Americans have been killed by illegal aliens than the terrorists on 9/11, and the Iraq war. Since 9/11 haven't you been paying attention to the news? The hijackers were using fake ID, like illegal aliens. The INS was dismantled because the terrorists managed to slip into the country. We don't want any more foreigners peaceful or not, sneaking, and living incognito in the US. I wonder whose identity your friend is using to live here.
