All they have to do is start enforcing current laws. Most of them would get deported and the rest would go home on their own after looking for a job and could not get hired.

All I know is every day they can't come up with a solution 4,000 new illegal immigrants come into the US.

Give me the thumbs-down, but I can easily see Mexico becoming a new Palestine, the 'stolen' land, the racism towards Americans, the blame they put on us for it being this way, the entitlement they feel for our country.
Nobody understands the scope of the issue. There is no right or wrong in the debate. The problem is that whatever is done, will come with repercussions...
The government will not stop the illegal immigration into America. In fact bush is working behind the scene to create an open border with Mexico so Mexican truckers can drive any road in America. But American truckers cannot drive the Mexican roads. Goggle "nafta superhighway" you will be surprised.
I think the leadership either really hasn't gotten a firm grip on the reality of the situation, or they're afraid that the legal immigrants in this country will vote against them. Most politicians aren't bright enough to get a real job.
It's not a "risk." Risk implies that something will happen to adversely affect the status quo. It's already happened.
As for legal immigrants jumping on the illegal's bandwagon, apparently some have. I've seen some posts on this site. But the immigrants with whom I've talked are up to their eyeballs with the problem. They decry the moronic, parasitic criminals... not my words... well, not all. Generally, they seem to feel that those who would break the law and expect to be made citizens, are spitting and defecating on the efforts of the millions of legal immigrants who worked hard to become citizens.
The only ploy the criminals have is, "It's a racist thing." Total hogwash. I don't care who the illegal is, or where he comes from, or the color of his skin. If he wants my sympathy he'll have to go back and start over, by applying to enter legally into the United States. Perhaps the answer is not to blame Mexico. Round 'em up and take them 13 miles off shore, and let them swim to wherever they want to go--or let their supporters pick them and take them wherever they want to go... as long as it's not the US. Never and the reasons are :
1) Businesses love to pay them slave wages.
2) Republicans love them because big business love the R$epublicans
3) The Democrats love them for the vote and to keep the welfare machine alive.
4) Teachers Unions love them because more kids more workload more classes = job security.
5) Churches love them for Sunday donations ( the more the merrier )
