Why does evryone feel they have a right to diss immigrants but still travel to their countries on vaca?

Because, obviously,
We don't diss immigrants, just the illegal ones
We don't break into their country, their government would throw us out or worse
We don't get illegally employed in these countries
We don't demand rights in their country
Our travels there help the people way more than illegal immigrants help the US
Oh, and the only one of these countries I've been to is Mexico, which is not as third-worldish as some would like us to believe. Quite pleasent actually :)
That depends, are we speaking about legal or illegal immigrants? And when they immigrated, did they become part of our country or did they just move here?
It is not hypocritical to expect people who want to live here to do it legally and to conform to our laws and socially acceptable behaviors.
Vacationing in the home countries of these people should not matter to them. They left those countries behind. They are no longer part of that country. Besides which, we have to have a passport to visit, so we go there legally. We follow the rules. We spend tourist dollars there. What's wrong with that?
No.
We only 'diss' those illegally here.
We travel legally, don't use their schools, are forced to pay in advance at their hospitals, and spend money we bring from another country which goes into their economy.
Their situation here is different.
funny...when ever you illegals/illegal supporters don't get your way in a conversation, you twist the words around or throw out the race card...
illegal=bad
legal=good
illegal alien=bad OR legal immigrant=great...loved by many
Tourists are legal also helps the local economy $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
SOMEDAY, THERE WILL BE NO WALLS, NO DIVISIONS, NO BOUNDARIES, NO PROBLEMS WITH NATIONALITY, RACE OR COLOR...NO ONE TO DICTATE IF WE CAN STEP ON FREE LAND, NOT TOO FAR FROM NOW.. WE WILL LOVE ONE ANOTHER.
Every time I go to Mexico or Canada I ask their permission at the border. I wish Mexico's rejects would do likewise when they come up.
no one's dissing immigrants, it's the illegal ones people have a problem with
i dont think u speak for everyone
i certainly dont diss immigrants but i m sure there are some
and i dont think immigrants mind too much about getting dissed ( not that i support) but people from rich countries visiting their country actually boosts their ecomony
Of course not. Don't be ridiculous. Traveling somewhere for vacation is quite a bit different than moving there illegally wouldn't you agree? Most countries, including the U.S. thrive on tourism. It is when they move here illegally and use our medical system and everything else without paying into it that we suffer. There is no comparison.
You'll meet very few people who disagree with immigration. You will, however, find many people who disagree with illegal immigration. I don't see why people choose not to make that distinction.
I've traveled to foreign lands myself, but never illegally.
Man, I don't know what everyone here is talking about. I hear people get annoyed with LEGAL immigrants all the time. People absolutely hated my friend Martin, a legal immigrant, because he was a Mexican and couldn't speak English. (And not for a lack of trying; unfortunately, he was stuck working with all Spanish-speakers and was actually rarely exposed to English.) "Go back to your own country if you can't learn English fast enough!"
I'd like to see someone move to Mexico or Russia and try to become completely fluent in those languages within a short time.
There is definitely an "Ugly American" stereotype in many other countries, even though many don't want to admit it. It is partially for this reason, and partially because many vacationers walk into another country acting like they own the place.
We go legally with passports & travel visas.
I have NO problems with legal immigrants. In September 1786, my family immigrated to the US but we did not pay someone to sneak us in & we did not expect to take from the US & not pay back through taxes & hard work, investing in the US economy. The illegals people complain about send most of their money home, lie & sneak in, do not pay taxes, & use the social service system. According to immigration officials, 56% of illegals use at least 1 welfare program assistance. Who pays?? we do!
I am not the hypocrite.
When I go on vacation to another country I do it legally. I own property in another country, I paid for it. I didn't show up illegally and say "give it to me."
Because traveling to those countries to visit on vacation is not against the law. Rather simple. See ya!
we dont hate Mexicans we just dont like people that steal our social security number.
Umm, I love immigrants..so long as they do it LEGALLY. When I go to Mexico on vacation, I go there with all the legal paperwork, I dont ask for handouts from their government, I dont sneak into school when I'm there, I dont ask for free medical services, and I come home after I dropped a good deal of money to help their economy. Any other questions?
I've never left this country (35 years and counting) in my life and don't intend to start now. Although Wyoming is pretty foreign. Besides, you go to other countries and undoubtedly someone will want to hurt/maim/kill you simply because you are from America.
We do not diss immigrants, we are opposed to illegal immigration... We travel into other countries and spend big $$ and we do everything nice and legal.
Immigrants are not the problem here.
Not a hypocrite nor diss anyone until it is fitting, notice no answer to your question!
wolfpack do you have ANY sources to the numbers that you use? 56%? You have no sources.
yes they are.
I believe that you left out one important word - illegal. If people come here legally, I have nothing against them. If they come here illegally and then they demand benefits that citizens don't even get ( in-state tuition rates for non-residents, free medical care, etc.) then I have a problem.
As far as tourism, I have visited five foreign countries and I did it with the proper paperwork to get in/out of those countries. And when I was supposed to leave, I left. While I was visiting someone else's country, I obeyed the laws and didn't demand that I get free services and that they change all of their signs to accomodate me.
So, comes down to legal or illegal. Respect our laws - no problem.
NO, MOST OF THEM ARE VERY IGNORANT,IF THEY ONLY KNEW MEXICO ,CHIAPAS, COSTA RICA, AND RIO DE JANEIRO,AND OTHERS THAT THEY WILL PROBABLY NEVER VISIT.
uhm.
i think this arguing is about illegal immigration.
my amigo...
Immigrants are NOT dissed ILLEGAL ALIENS are! I really wish people would get that straight! Immigrants work their asses off to become citizens and come here legally..ILLEGAL ALIENS DON'T! Thus the word illegal!
Going to a country for vacation is a short little trip and usually about 2 weeks. ILLEGAL ALIENS are not here for a short little trip because that would be a vacation and they would go home. There is the problem and the difference...vacationers go home...illegal aliens don't! IMMIGRANTS (did ya get that) are making their homes in the country they are immigrating to LEGALLY!
We only dis illegals here. Legal immigrants are welcome to join the dissing.
I only diss illegals
