How do you think the U.S. should handle immigration?

Being hard working is no excuse.
Some bank robbers and drug dealers work real hard to.

Wanting a better life for yourself and your family is a noble ideal.
The way they've gone about doing it isn't. They've broken many laws, and have no right to be here.
Don't worry.
The bill will pass.

Kick their **** back where they should be. Our economy is in shambles. Only those whose government is under communist rule should be allowed to enter and not be able to send any form of money.
they just need to reinforce the laws they've already had. I mean this new bill i think should pass but people just need to follow the laws and become a citizen. Because we already laws for immigration but people ignore them until it comes to the point where something needs to be done so people have protest and make a big deal when this new law isnt even like a bad thing its just going over laws we already had and giving them a second chance to declare citizenship...I dont think we should deport people just give them citizenship and if you catch them put on probation and tell them they have like 6 months or a year to become legal
The U.S should handle immigration as they did in the early years of our Country.
Immigrants that want to come to America should love our country, learn the language, and get a job. If that is not what they want to do! Then go some place else. Don't try and change our lifestyle.
I would handle immigration very differently. The problem is not people coming here the problem is creating Americans. I would open our borders. Every one who wants to come can come. Every one is given a green card. They are told they have seven years to become a citizen. During that time if they have any trouble with the law (felony) they will be deported, if they spend more then one year on public assistance they will be deported. They are allowed to return to their home country once in that period for no more then two weeks. At the end of the seven years they either become citizens or they leave and can never again return.
Undocumented Aliens are not the problem, green card holders who have been here for twenty years and will not commit to this nation are the problem
Close the borders and mind our own business. Thats what every other coutry wants anyway until they need help. Then the look to the good ole' USofA. I say screw um all and I say we turn our backs on everyone who has turned their backs on us!

The US didn't just happen to have all that it does. Our ancestors fought and died for what we have today. I think that the illegal immigrants need to realize that our ancestors didn't fight and die for THEM to come into this country and disrespect it by breaking the laws because "we don't think they are fair". Boo hoo.
They slap the face of every soldier that has served or died for this country and its laws, every LEGAL immigrant that has jumped through the hoops and gone through the procedures and red tape to make a better life for their families, every citizen of this nation that desires their rightful expectations as a citizen, such as a great education for their children and a job to feed their families.
Illegal immigration is not a victimless crime. It is a crime that hurts our nation. If these people respected and loved our nation so damn much, then they would do the right thing and go through the procedure or get the hell out.
I think that the US should enforce the laws on immigration, and stop backing down to them! They are breaking the law! Punish them and get them the hell out!!

the only immigrants that should be here are the ones that applied legally the ones that are illegal should be shipped back to mexico implanted with tracking chips and next time that they cross they should be sent to iraq and not a jail the children born in america should not be able to keep families here they should all have to be deported they should have to pay the fine that is already in place for breaking the law and the employers should not have the excuse that they did not know they were illegal they do background checks on everyone these days applying for jobs and should not just be fined but put out of business, the health departments should not have to deal with those that are illegal they should just patch them up call the ICS and pack them back to Mexico and this deal that it is not fessible to do is BS it is far cheaper to run buses 24/7 7days a week than the true cost of one illegal to a taxpaying legal citizen of this country
