This is exactly why people are screaming about illegal aliens taking advantage of the situation and Americans. They jump the line making it almost impossible for others who have obeyed the laws to come here legally.

i'm not sure...it depends on our goals as a country. do we want to help people who need it? or do we want to strengthen the US by diversifying our population? if it's the 2nd, than i guess we should go for countries with low immigration rates. maybe those are war torn, maybe not. if it's the 1st, ....well, i don't know how i feel about it. some countries going through war right now, i'll admit that i'm a little afraid because their beliefs and value systems are completely different than what we all accept here in the US. i admit that it's mostly an unknown for me...maybe if i knew more i wouldn't be so nervous...but right now i'm not really excited about those countries immigrating. with mexico, at least we know what we are getting. but like i said...i'm undecided, not trying to be mean or hateful towards another group...
