What are your thoughts Mexico sends diplomatic note to U.S. over alleged border incursion [to fight a fire!]?
The incursion allegedly took place on Monday, as Border Patrol agents stationed in Sonoita, Arizona, were trying to quash a brush fire on the U.S. side that quickly spread into Mexico, the department said.
The Foreign Relations Department said it was notified of the incident on Tuesday by the U.S. Embassy in Mexico, which reported that the border agents immediately returned to their side of the border after the fire was out.
The Embassy did not release a public statement Tuesday.
"The Foreign Relations Department has expressed to the U.S. Embassy via a diplomatic note, its rejection of the incursion," the Mexican government's news release said.
"While the department recognizes that the incursion may have been a response to an attempt to deal with an emergency, as the U.S. Embassy states, it has reiterated ... that even during emergency situations, it is required, without exception, to immediately notify the Mexican authorities."
The complaint comes on the heels of another alleged border incursion late last month, when U.S. workers erecting border fences between Douglas, Arizona, and the Mexican border city of Agua Prieta, allegedly crossed about 10 meters (yards) into Mexico.
At that time, U.S. Ambassador to Mexico Tony Garza issued a statement promising to look into the incident and asserting that the United States "has the deepest respect for the integrity of the sovereignty of Mexican soil and for the importance of the border shared by our two countries."

Answer:
Mexico can stick it's note!! If we sent them a note every time one of their citizens crossed over to U.S. soil, they would be smothered. At least we came back to our side, we didn't close their hospitals, suck up their social assistance, smuggle in drugs, crowd their schools, steal their identities, take their jobs, etc, etc, etc! I am glad they didn't want to imprison them in a Mexican jail, I'm sure U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton would have handed them over.

GOOD JOB!!
ms.13
that's sad. it sounds like those guys were just trying to help and put the fire out. what a world we live in
I agree they should have let the fire burn and just kept it on their side, and called them only after it got going real good.
I think we should respect their country and their wishes, even when their country is on fire...especially when it's on fire!
We could always say an illegal was cooking rice and beans, and he started the fire, and sue them for damages, before they sue us.
Maybe next time we should just let it burn. No, I take that back. That would just be stupid, we don't need more destruction in this world. I do find it sad though that even when we try to do a good deed, we get the butt end of it still.
Sounds so typical. Instead of thanking us they want to chastise us.
Personally I would ask them about the over 30 million border incursions that they have encouraged. I would tell them to stick their note where the sun don't shine and if they didn't like it they can just take all of their people and go home.
I am getting a little tired of the whatever they do is ok and whatever we do is subject to their approval.
Wow, thats the funniest and the most hypocritical thing I've heard in a while.
Dear Mexico - Stuff it! Get your nose out of US business. Take care of your own country. America is not Mexico.
Very truly,
United States of America
I find it ironic that they can be so alert as to our people crossing that line, but they don't seem to notice the thousands of their own citizens jumping across it.
Mexico just wants something to complain about, they should be thankful the fire was put out and didn't spread further into Mexico.
When a child is caught doing something wrong, they immediate try to blame someone else.
Mexico's military routinely (DHS Chertoff admitted to over 200 Mexican Military incursions during 2006 so you know there were many more) comes into the USA to cover drug/alien smuggling.
We need a President like Teddy Roosevelt, but all we have is a Bush and probably another Clinton!
How typically hypocritical of Mexicans. If only I could send a note to Mexico for every Mexican I have kicked off my land.
My thought was to let it BURN! they don't need our help ha. But that would be such an inhumane thing to do...I can just hear those peace activist crying!
When your an American, you can't win. Every one has to beeatch about something.
