Americans cannot let this immigration issue die. We got our "foot in the door" and got our message across loud and clear; and now we must concentrate on NEVER letting government forget it because the job is not done.
Besides calling & e-mailing those you've suggested; which we must continue to do.American's must vote against the 46 who voted for that "idiotic immigration bill" and do not vote for ANY of those Presidential candidates that are for amnesty or a new immigration reform bill or a new worker program---we already have several of each of those on the books that just aren't being enforced.
ALL monetary support, benefits, housing and jobs for illegals must be stopped, immediately. Our taxpayers money is for OUR citizens and NOT for these illegal lawbreakers. Cut off their jobs and their monetary support here and they will leave on their own. THEN we can deport those remaining. Tell Congress you want a new mass deportation bill called "NO illegal left behind"
Basically, all of the Democrats are out. Hillary and/or Obama will bring more destruction to our nation than Bush has done so far.
As far as Republicans, It's too early to decide, but we should know by the end of this summer. I'd like to see Tom Tancredo or Ron Paul as President & Vice President because they are both strongly against immigration and for the American worker. But they don't have the "big corporate money" behind them because corporations are for cheap labor.
Fred Thompson is coming up fast as a candidate, but I haven't heard much on his platform yet...don't know what he is for and against. If there is no Republican worth voting for, I will vote Independent.
Keep those e-mails, faxes, and telephone calls flooding the White House, Homeland Security Offices, ICE, the Senate & the House..don't let them forget for one minute and report those you know are illegals.

We haven't finished the job with congress, they are the ones that cut the checks. So don't let up on them one bit. I've already written the white house myself, but thanks for the idea to write homeland security. I never of thought of them. Enforcement First! A better option would be faxing and calling the White House.

You need to email your representatives every single day, congress is hoping this issues will just go away and if we do not keep up the demands to close our borders to all but legal traffic and enforce employment laws. it will fade into the memory of the American people as well as our legislators... I just sent my daily emails.

I agree...public opinion works-sometimes. But this administartion seems to care less about the public than they do about their egos. There are a dangerous group. Let's hope the Dems win big next year and restore some sanity in Washington.

There is still much work that needs to be done in congress.
Addressing the NAFTA mess is one thing that needs to be done.
Also the move by many within government towards the North American Union is another.
The nightmare of a highway system where they are sucking up millions of acres of land to build only to give away to foreign owners is another problem that needs to be stopped in its tracks. The thought of having all sorts of traffic allowed within this country that do not meet our standard of safety - not to mention the problem it brings with auto insurance for those of us in this country is a nightmare to be sure.
All of these programs are part of the illegal problem and why it hasn't been addressed by those in gov. If you don't believe me, just take a look at what NAFTA and the North American Union is attempting to bring about and you will see the direct link to why so many within gov. do not want to address the illegal situation and actually are helping to ignore the immigration laws.

That would be great whenever monkeys are taught how to read:) Seriously though, I'm sure that he has been e-mailed and sent tons and tons of letters and calls but it doesn't make a bit of difference when all you care about is money. The only person that can stop George Bush is George Bush. He'll make a stupid mistake somewhere and it will be the beginning of his demise. The problem with people who worship money is that they get careless and forget what got them to where they are now. Those are the people who always get what's coming to them.
