If you have a permanent residency card and you are traveling abroad...will you be able to get back in?

My husband just left two weeks ago to Paraguay, S.A. and he was in the country for 1 year and 1/2 before traveling. He has his permanent residency (green card)...will he be ok traveling back to the U.S.? I went to a psychic a week ago and she said he would have trouble coming back, but that he would make it but it would be a week or so later. I want to prevent this and I'm not sure if he had to do something before leaving. Anyone know?

Answer:
I do not see any problem if he has his PR card with him. However, he must NOT bring back anything that he did not pack himself. That is how good people get into trouble.**
