Does anyone have any idea how much funds and savings i must have?

I was married recentley and my husband is now applying for his uk visa. I have heard and read that the immigration usually want the spouse to show a significant amount of funds and/or savings, but does anyone have any idea of the amount??? I am panicking., and appreciate anyones info on this.
