Who thinks that the governments decision to send text messages to immigrants is stupid?
How ridiculous is this decision? But then again, I think that they have had so much flack concerning illegal immigrants that they have to be seen as doing something......but they could have chosen a more intelligent way of handling it, don't you think?
Answer:
Sure people who are criminal enough to break UK law as soon as they arrive will be scared to death of a text message.(Yes, false claims for asylum is breaking UK law)
The Government have also broken UK law in turning a blind eye to illegal immigrants. I say the Government must also uphold the Law and it would also
be nice if we indigenous Brits had some sort of say in who comes to live here.
Well actually the plan is that texts will be send to those on managed migration schemes to remind then that it's time to lodge an application, thus helping to secure hard cash payments to the Home Office and helping create an orderly system with applications arriving in good time for easy processing. It has nothing to do with telling illegals that they should go home.
That said, it's a pretty piss poor idea and demonstrates the paucity of ideas in the realms of upper management within the Home Office.
The government will never act on immigration because it is against their political interests to do so.
Cheap labour helps keep inflation down and believe it or not the government benefits from 'black economy' wages. Almost everything you buy carries a tax.
However, the long term plan is to grant an amnesty for illegal immigrants, thus giving Labour another three million votes.
The government should be shipped out alright, but to a purpose built prison.
Just government pretending to do something about the problem we have in this country.
Then again guess the government gave them the mobile phone as well!!!!!!
had to have a little chuckle to myself when i heard it on the news. just a typical throw away remark to try and get another soundbite on the news. something like hug a hoody!! BONKERS
