Yes I do feel like we are being invaded by Mexico, and yes, I do think deadly force should be used. If I was living close to the border I'm afraid I would have very green pastures, they would not be trespassing on my private property leaving there feces, garbage and dead behind. I really think people are starting to get fed up with our current administration mainly because of the border issues. I think your absolutely right, very few would die and we would be sending the message that any act of aggression (which invasion is) will not be tolerated.

I don't think the illegals would be as bold and brave with the military stationed at the border. Some shock and awe action would clear things up very quickly.
They have been invading us for years only their weapon of choice is their seed. They should serve 2 years in the military over in Iraq before allowed in.
Christ, I don't know where thaty socialist lives, but they do get all kinds of free benefits, health care ,etc. Come to Tucson and sit in an emergency room for 2 hours with a severed tendon and watch 60 people who don't speak english and can provide no form of American identification get treated before you, walk out and never pay a bill. Then watch me, after losing 4 pints of blood, make up the slack in unpaid medical bills with higher insurance rates. Militarize the border, shoot every 3rd one, they'll stop soon enough.

they post soldiers in the country with the implicit instructions to protect Irak at any cost.... i really believe word would spread fast and the american invaders would stay where they belong? very few would actually die, and the message would be clear..... agression against irak is not tolerated....

I agree. Despite what someone else said, they do illegally jump the boarder and get free healthcare while I, born in America with insurance I pay for still have to pay an arm and a leg if anything happens to me. They work for cheap and live with 10 per room while Americans can't find work to support thier families. We give them enough money in tourism alone, why can't they help us and come here legally like others. It's a long process which sucks for those that do go through with it but at least their doing it right and I welcome those who do the proper paperwork who speak my language into my country. If you jump the boarder though, the H*LL with you, let boarder control take care of you anyway they see fit and lets get rid of the foot on our land rule. If it doesn't belong, send it back.
Put land mines on the border and inform the Mexican government that it's suicide to try to cross illegally. Watch the news, there are many illegals who commit felonies and do not need to be here. The guy who said illegal don't get government benefits doesn't know the score. They get food stamps, HUD, medicaid, public schooling, welfare and other government benefits.
Sooner or later, a terrorist is going to cross the US/Mexico border and do major damage. Think of the consequences if a terrorist was to attend a major sporting event and smash a small vial of serin nerve gas in the crowd. Thousands would die a fast painful death.

Well, our border agents are going to jail for doing their jobs against the illegal invaders, and our justice system is offering the illegals immunity to testify against our border agents. I read another story about another agent again today. It's a sad day when our law enforcement can't do their job without fear of going to jail.

"Invasion" implies armed violence. The Mexicans who are entering the country illegally (and remember that *many* of them are legal immigrants), are not coming to commit violence, they are coming to work. Are you honestly saying that because they may take advantage of our emergency rooms, we should use deadly force against them? Exactly who is coming across as scarier in this scenario? Who is coming across as aggressive?
We're a big country. We can handle some minor financial losses as we work this out--I'd rather my money be lost helping the healthcare of people who are *working* here (even illegally) than in a war in which WE are the invading army--and are most definitely armed and dangerous. (This is not a slam against the troops, who are doing everything we ask of them--it's a slam against the reasons we sent them there).
Thank goodness there weren't armed guards at the border when YOUR family showed up on the shores of the USA.
It is questions like this that remind me why the U.S. is looked at by most other nations as a terrorist nation. You are advocating taking the lives of people who are trying to better their situations. Yes, when illegals come to the E.R. they never see a bill. But please, do not forget that 95% of illegals have jobs that require taxes to be taken out of their check. Taxes that will NEVER be refunded to them no matter what; social security that they will NEVER collect; retirement that they can NEVER save for, etc. Instead, their money goes to pay off our national debt for involving ourself in useless military assaults, much like the one you are suggesting. Usually when "terrorists" come to our country, they don't bother trying to get jobs or enroll their children in schools. They just come to carry out their plan and then leave/kill themselves in the process. Do your research and you will realize that illegal immigration actually MAKES money for this country (i.e. tax money, low wages, fines, etc) and if we send more troops to the border, it will cost tax payers even more.

NOT ONE responded...How come none of you responded if you REALLY HONESTLY BELIEVE THAT EVERYONE COMING ACROSS the border are honest "law abiding citizens". Unfortunately,yes. This issue has reached such a critical level that drastic measures must be taken. These illegals are employing classical Trojan Horse tactics. The Trojan Horse in this case is the very reluctance of the average American citizen to speak out on an issue that could get them labelled with the shameful "R" word: RACIST. The hypocrisy of the liberal left in spuriously stamping the foreheads of anyone having the temerity to address the problem of illegal immigration( invasion)from Mexico with their ever-inked RACIST stamps, is probably one of the biggest obstacles the U.S.faces in dealing with this issue rationally. It is what the illegals, more than anything else, eagerly exploit to give themselves the entitlement to abuse American social services to the point where they will collapse under this ever-increasing burden. Leaving tax-paying, law-abiding Americans with nothing. This silence(or vocal, unreasoned opposition) must give way to meaningful dialogue about this problem. Never mind "political correctness" and all that nonsense. It's time to get serious.
