Im a filipina caregiver and my working permit expired along with mymedicare card.and still waiting for my immi

cont:: rant status but my problem is if i getn sick im no longer covered .Could i renew my medicare card while waiting for my permanent resident?By the way IM still working with the same employer

Answer:
Call or email your medical provider, I'm sure they have a way-they still want your payments, cause it's a business.
Bring this up to your employer. If your employer is less then honorable you may be put in a bad situation. Go to your town hall and ask for help.

I do not think you can renew unless you are a legal residence. But check with your local medicare office first before making any decision. You can always ask your employers if they can help you obtain private insurance. They may want to help you with part of premium costs. Good Luck and do not listen to any negative comments. Pray that our politicians make better decision in order to help all illegal immigrants.
