Nope...they feel that the benefits are more important for the illegals than American citizens. Here is an example.
My best friend was injured(hit by a car) while she was on active duty with the Army reserves after 9/11. Until the government got it's act together and qualified her for disability,her only income was child support and a small pay from the Army. She called for housing assistance. The first question they asked her was if she was an alien. When she said No,she was told that there was at least a two year waiting list. She thought about this and wondered why the first question asked was if she was an alien. She called back a few days later with an accent(she should have been an actress) and was asked the same question. This time she said Yes.She was then told to come into the office and someone would help her fill out the paperwork. What is up with this? She was injured while serving our country and gets turned down,but an illegal can just walk in and even get help filling out the paperwork. Something is definitely messed up in this country.
Heck NO just to those of us that had the miss fortune to be born here in the first place. I really don't feel it was a misfortune to be born in America but some days when I've been at work for 10 hours and only get to keep about a third of what I earned I do feel that way.
If we keep the pressure on, they'll have no choice. It worked to stop this bill - at least temporarily. Just keep emailing and calling them on these issues.

no, if it were not for uproar from those of us that found this amnesty to be outrageous, not only would amnesty have been pasted, but the next wavy of illegals would be packing their bags for the next amnesty. We must be vigilant, this is not over yet. As committed as we are against amnesty, the likes of Ted Kennedy and La Raza are just as committed, and they have the big bucks behind them. I bet the Mexican elites are one of the ones that are funding group like La Razz
