If you are doing a report then you need to clarify what you are talking about. There is a HUGE difference between immigration and the illegal invasion that has been taking place over the last 30 years. Take notice of the biased news coverage which rarely uses the term "illegal"

I think its a valued part of our community because if it wer'nt for immigration we would still be socializing with same race and that as boring as talking to the same gender. if america was to not have imigration only the indians would populize these lands

I am for immigration. Without immigration the USA wouldn't exist. (Well it would but not as it is today)
controlled immigration is good for the country and the economy the problems are caused by the illegal immigrants who are straining the country's resources

Always in history people have migrated and gone to different places, for one reason or another.
Sometimes, it is for some different experience, sometimes it is to escape something, sometimes it is to find something, and sometimes they have a wanderlust and want to go, or they want to conquer and settle down elsewhere .... sometimes the climate is better somewhere, or the work opportunity, or they have married and have new family .... maybe they prefer another society ...or maybe they are rolling stones!!! Always when people enter a new area, they take their cultural heritage with them and add to that area. In addition they find new heritages where they settle, and that adds to their character and experience. In any case it is a growth and an expansion...

Try migration watch, they make several good points. One is that immigration is a very small benefit around 2% when what immigrants take from the society is included. Also let me say bluntly that the forced mixing of millions of Muslims and others into an old northern European society like the UK is bound to end in trouble. Not now but we will not always be fully employed and I think we are building big trouble
I agree they have a nerve the supporters of mass immigration, where do they get the right to force so many foreign people into the UK against the wishes of the majority?

I think people who come to America to become american,learn english,integrate into society and work hard to live the American dream are a great asset and inspiration to the rest of us.But those who migrate here either legally or illegally and doesn't want to be an American,doesn't want to learn english,doesn't want to integrate into society and hates america with a blue passion will be our downfall.My husband works with someone who is from Russia and the man absolutey HATES America and Americans,also works with mexicans who are the same way.They get together in the lunchroom at work(I know cause I used to work there too) and talk about how great their country is (the one they came from) and how America sucks.The Russian is always insulting my husband whose one of the only ones who is a born and bred American for being an American.Even accuses him of being stupid because he's from here.Allot of them say Americans are stupid and lazy and they are smart and have made America what it is today.My husband on the other hand knows that if he says anything in defense of our great nation is risking losing his job for discrimination or hate crime.When I worked there it was hell because they did everything they could to get me to quit or get me fired.When I became pregnant with my son they did things to me that could have either killed me or seriously injured me causing me to miscarry.I wasn't one of them and they hated me to the point they were willing to do anything to get rid of me.The company manufactures fiberglass with dangerous heavy machinery.It is a very dangerous place to work and with people pouring oil on the ground in my work area so I'd fall and jamming machines so I'd get injured trying to fix them(because the handymen were always m.i .a) among everything else they did it was a death trap.But we couldn't say anything about it because the ones doing it would scream racism towards us and it would stick.I remember one day one of them turned on their radio on spanish music and blasted it as loud as it would go deafening me and hurting my ears right behind where I was working.I complained about it and was told to stop bothering them and just do my job.That was 6 years ago and you know what?They still hate my husband for being born here and being an american and they still harrass him for it.We are Christian and don't believe in doing to others as they do to us instead my husband turns the other cheek and lets them have their fun at his expense.I know we can't be the only ones who have experienced this and I think if it continues the middle class will be wiped out and few Americans will find themselves with any rights whatsoever.I'm 2nd generation American my grandparents came here from Germany in 1944 because the Natzi's were giving the same treatment to any german as they did to the Jewish who disagreed with what they were doing to them.Many Germans died because they opposed Hitler and what he was doing.So when my grandparents came here they were very greatful and kissed the ground upon arriving.That's how becomming American used to be.But those days are long gone and the majority of those comming here nowadays have only bitterness and contempt for us.
It built this country and continues to do so. I personally am here because of it - if members of my family had not immigrated to the US, I would not exist.
I think that immigration is a good thing but I'm opposed to illegal aliens.
IMHO immigration is of great importance for every country. Developed countries need more labor force (specially unskilled and highly skilled workers), while developing ones need experts in different fields to raise its economy. Another issues for what immigration could be the answer are ageing and low birth rate.

Immigration is a curse on our English society. They are spongers and as one of your previous answers wrote most of them dont even like this country. I actually work with some immigrant that do work and when I listen to them talking they running this country down and when I ask them why are they here if this country is so bad they say they are here to earn a good living and go to night school to learn a trade or skill to use back in there own country. We should stop immigration now.

I think its good. The immigrants are basically the only race who work hard on jobs that many americans dont like to do. So why do they complain that they are taking all their jobs away?? I dont know. But ALL the americans have a chance to go to school and become successful but i see some working like an immigrant!!! they should be ashamed!!! I understand if i see a hispanic person because they might not know english...but the americans???...whats their excuse??
