Affirmative action for Foreigners?!?

Two rationales for affirmative action were offered by its early proponents:
1. Compensate minorities for having been denied opportunity for so long by giving them a leg up. But now white women and immigrants are receiving the benefits of affirmative action, so is this really operative? How can immigrants be said to have been denied opportunity when they only just arrived? Didn't white women gain as much as white males from the exploitation of the cheap labor of the oppressed?
2. "Dehonkify" the society by marginalizing white males who are seen as the embodiment and perpetrators of the denial of opportunity. Under this rationale, granting affirmative action to white women and foreigners does make sense because they will displace white males. The idea here is not so much to give a leg up to minorities, but to push down white males.
where can Foreigner get scholarships, public university admissions, public grants, and government contracts don't you need be a "U.S citizens or legal Resident" to get those benefits!!!

Affirmative action should be abolished overall. There shouldn't be quotas to fill positions. The best man or women for the job should get it.
ALOT of Minorities are against affirmative action. To claim any race can't do a job as good or better as any other is racism. Affirmative action is nothing more than Politicians attempting to Kiss Minority ***.

It has been proven that the law of affirmative action is actually counter productive and doesn't work. Yes - people of different ethnicities were hired/admitted/given scholarships, etc. based on this, but at times they were done so solely on the basis of their race, and not on qualifications. It has been proven in studies that more qualified individuals (not necessarily caucasian applicants) were passed over so a number could be met. Just so corporations/schools/organizat... could make their quotas. The African American community has come out against affirmative action, as has many other races. So if you only wish to create a bias against Americans, then your idea is the right thing. But if you are looking to actually allow those born in this country to "reap the benefits" of being a citizen of this country, then you need to leave well enough alone.
