Why are we so hard on immigrants but when it comes to Paris?
WTF... is up with this hpyocacry?
Answer:
hi randy!
yeah dude, i totally agree with u...i mean its ridiculous wat im seeing in the news about stupid paris hilton and geting the star treatment!! how much more attention does she need??
and then the illegal immigrants who r just trying to live we treat them like crap
honestly, im quite sick of it, just treat her like a normal person and send her to jail! not cuz shes rich
as if a normal 50 year old spanish immigrant would get that much attention in the news.yeah right...
apples and oranges
how do you compare a spoiled rich girl to an illegal immigrant? We all know money buys your way out of jail. SO I guess if an illegal came over here with money they could stay.
Because Paris, is a "legal citizen", I do agree she needs to do her time, but either way she is legal,,,,,,,
So, do you think illegal immigrants should be granted amnesty and Paris should serve the full sentence?
Breaking the law is breaking the law whether you're Paris Hilton or an illegal immigrant. It is interesting that you managed to find a correlation with the two.
It's OUR country, that's why. You cannot compare Paris driving without a license, to hordes of immigrants to flooding our country illegally, stealing American jobs, sending all their US dollars back to where ever they come from, not speaking our language, using our resources, while BREAKING THE LAW!
THE US Needs to CLOSE OUR BORDERS NOW!
How is that hypocrisy? The same people who are outraged by the illegals are outraged by the Paris release. Also how are we hard on illegals? If we were hard on them they would not be all over our country.
The situation regarding Paris has nothing at all to do with illegal immigration. Two completely different situations. Her life is of no concern to me,but allowing millions of criminals to remain in the country is a major concern.
Plain and simple illegal is illegal. And as far as Paris she should be in jail. What kind of example is it to teens and children who look up to her to have her freed from her drunken driving charges. Put her away and let her rot.
I don't think about Paris Hilton, but I do believe she is a tax paying citizen.
Immigrants who are illegal do not pay taxes (unless you're talking about a sales tax at grocery stores, perhaps), yet they do benefit from the multitude of services paid for by citizens' tax dollars, such as public education and healthcare. Further, some who have fraudulently obtained Social Security numbers are compounding their illegal activity with another illegal act (it's a federal offense).
I have never taken the poor-poor them approach to criminals; and I think those who do are opening the doors for more demands on our society by criminals. That might be OK with you if you want to pay their way through life with your tax dollars, but it's not OK with me.

>>The crime the illegals are getting charged with is being here to help there lives like our ancestors did. <<
This is a bogus argument. Most of our ancestors didn't break laws to arrive in this country; most of our ancestors didn't engage in illegal activity after their arrival. Most of our ancestors contributed to the social services infrastructure, such as police, fire, hospitals, education. Most of our ancestors assimilated to become American. I see I've got "thumbs down" here. Too bad; truth hurts, sometimes.
what a ridiculous argument, Paris is a citizen, yes she should do her time, so should the criminals who trespass here illegally!!!
I feel sorry for both, those poor immigrants trying to make it off our Social Security and Paris who has to spend a week in reality camp.
The sheriff let Paris out not the people and the judge now wants her back in, she was let out because of a possible health scare... I am ashamed that I know this but it was the lead story this morning (go figure) most Americans think that 45 days in jail may help Paris see the real world.
By immigrants I am assuming you mean illegal aliens, we are not hard on our immigrants they are welcomed and made part of the US for the most part and we even recruit in certain job sectors but their is a huge difference in those who followed the laws to become a citizen and those who are breaking our laws and demanding to be made a citizen.
We have a legal process, its not easy but it is better than most other countries. All we ask is that you use the legal process.
When they'll let Paris out in five days that just goes to show how bad illegal immigrants are.
