That's their heritage. I might not -love- America, but I'd proudly say I'm American. I've been thinking of becomming a citizen in japan, but decided against it since I'd have to give up my American citizenship. I love my heritage. It's like asking why hicks display the Confederate flag when it was a disgrace to our nation during the civil war.
EDIT: In response to your edit, Germans can be proud of their heritage. They're not all Hitler loving Nazi's. There's other things in German heritage to be proud of. Irish are proud of their heritage, fly their flags, as well as french and italians, but no one goes after them about putting their flags up. What about canadians? You're being rather racist targetting Mexicans. It what the flag stands for, not an in your face remark. I don't think they would be here if they didn't like it here. By the way, there's plenty to not be proud of in American history, don't bring up Germans.

They don't leave their country because it sucks, they leave it because they can't make money in their country. I live in a small rural community in the US and many people here drive to the big city 85 miles away to work, but they remain living here, with their hearts here. It doesn't suck here there just isn't enough jobs for all the people that want to live in paradise so they have to work some place else. Mexico is a great place full of great people, the government sucks as does ours, but otherwise it is a wonderful, fabulously beautiful place.
But I do disagree with them coming here illegally. They are just being exploited by big companies for their cheep labor. We are footing the bill for these companies to get cheep labor. These Mexicans are encouraged to come here by US companies and by the Mexican government. The Mexican government wants them coming here because it is a big boost for their economy, all the money that their loyal citizens are sending home. I don't hate these people, but I don't want to pay for their children’s education and medical bills either...

I stopped trying to understand this along time ago. You would think that you would want to honor the country that gave you opportunities by flying it's flag.but I guess that's too much to ask for. Take it as a sign of disrespect.
It is the same reason when one is proud at the fact he/she is an Irish and living in America. The Irish came because of similar reasons. Its their heritage and no one can take it away from them so they proudly display, and its not just Mexicans it is everybody in America who knows where they are from.
I really think they do it just to anger the rest of us! Or maybe to just make a statement, but I'd say its probably to get the rest of us mad.
first of all im mexican (born in US) and from wat i c from myself and others i think its to just hav an identity but from the poor people who come from over there i think their heritage is all they come with in their pokets
one big thing is to separate ourselves from the other latin american countries. sum people do this out of racism to just show that theyre not salvadorean or central american or south american. i think we just we just hav too much pride sumtimes but yea thats wat i think and wat i c from people i know, but there r probably ither reasons.

I really don't believe they would act this way if it wasn't for so many illegals. Years ago Mexican Americans didn't go out of their way to force America to do what they wanted. We all lived together just fine. I have and still do have allot of Mexican friends and they don't act like the people you see on TV. I think they are just a bunch of illegals trying to make us accept them. But if you are here illegally I don't care where you are from you shouldn't try to shove you nationality down our throats. My ancestors came from Ireland and I consider myself to be American. I am Irish American and I don't go around telling everyone to be Irish. I don't know I just wish people who want to come here would do it legally instead of forcing themselves on us.
I guess you could ask the same of descendants from Irish immigrants, Italian immigrants, Chinese immigrants, Scottish immigrants, British immigrants, etc. I see all kinds of flags flying all around me. People can be proud of their heritage & still be American or have a desire to be American. You don't seem to have a problem with anyone else's flags being flown. Why with the Mexican's?

Because it's their heritage. i mean it saddens me that you live in America and yet you don't know that it's called the melting pot. every ethnicity has the right to be proud of their heritage and where they've came from. They move to the u.s. for a better life, they can display their nations flag. i mean i have several friends from all over the world that have their nations flag displayed in their home. they can't forget where they've come from that would be wrong and they'd be lying to themselves.
Well I'm mexican and in my opinion, I deeply thank this country for giving me the oppotunities that I didn't had in my country but this doesn't mean that I don't love mexico. I hate the goverment and that corruption and crime that lies in Mexico but I'm proud of my ancestors, my history my people cuz belived or not mexican people are very friendly, yes theres bad people in mexico but there are most honest and hard working people is just that our currupted goverment keeps on steping the hell all of my people. I really hope that one day everything changes down there and that my people don't have to get here illegaly looking for a better future for their sons. It's not fair that other countries can be proud of their heritage and fly their flags here but mexicans can't. The only reason that americans have any sort of problem with mexicans being proud of where they came from is because of the illegal immigration problem...but that's not fair to all of the LEGAL mexican americans we have in this country to deny them the right to be proud of where they come from too. We are a nation of immigrants and we all have the right to be proud of where we are from...They can embrace their new heritage as well as maintain their old heritage.
