You're confusing 2 issues.
People still polute wherever they live (ok maybe nowhere as much as in the USA...) - they still create traffic, pollution and live a lifestyle which could lead to forests being destroyed.
What does having immigrants coming here have to do with being green? The people in the USA do more damage then the immigrants coming. We are not educated well enough on what we can do to go more green. People only think of themselves not how to save the world.
When we try to figure out how to save the world. Our goverment goes and messes it up more.
America was built on the backs of immigrants. Ever saw the documentry when Gays go on Strike, imagine if immigrants were to go on strike in america. That is a ignorant comment. Immgrants have nothing to do with the fact that the USA isnt 'green' It has to do with the responsibilities of the people, corporations and government. and in people I include both immigrants and non-immigrants.
Quick question though..how would you define immigrants? Because everyone from Columbus go on are immigrants to America.. so i guess you should all head back to your birthland and give the Native Americans back their land. They were doing a preety good job of keeping it green before all us immigrants came along and started building factories, cities and highways
