I filed a regular I-130 for my wife who is in India right now and received a Case # on Dec. 13, 2006. I am a US Citizen. I filed with the Vermont Service Center and am waiting for an approval. My question is how long will it take for my wife to get her Green Card and come to the USA. I do not want to file an K-3, I am just doing the I-130. It will be 3 months next week and how long will take for me to recieve an approval letter for her. Please let me know if anyone has answers.

bush has sign new law and like everything he do he mess this up to i file a k3 129f its took a year to be approval and another 3 months to go before she here good luck
Probably aoubt 6-12 months, if not longer. The I-130 takes longer to process than the K-3 for some reason.
You should have submitted both I130 and i-129 for K3. Whcichever comes first. But wait time approx up to a year, if no complications.
