Why has the BNP garnered massive support from the expat community?

Could it be that the BNP represent the one party that wil allow these ex-pats to return from their exile?
What effect has Blairite and Galloway Chardonnay Socialism had on creating a 'brain-drain'?
For even if these ex-pats were to be of an above average skill set- they are well and truly more qualified than our darling cultural enrichers and imports, and thus far more able to enhance and POSITIVELY contribute to our economy, are they not?
Most of them were home-owners rather than council-housed squatters on welfare, true?

Answer:
For anyone who has heard the term,"white flight",the message is clear.Professional self sufficient Britons are leaving in droves. Why?They are victims of blairs socialist ,multiracial utopia. The country is a litter strewn ,poorly educated, police state hurtling toward bankruptcy.
They probably didnt want to go,but when they made noises about our restrictions on freedoms and privacy, new laws were introduced to prevent them speaking their minds.
When they said, this isnt fair ,I am better qualified ,they were told they were racist.
The expats and those who are forced to bear it still, want a return to the way it was.
Very true and a lot of my friends have emigrated, and funnily enough they are all the ones who were well educated and held good careers
"Massive support??"
your source for that would e where?

.
Well I don't know if your opening statement is true, but even if it is, doesn't it seem a bit rich for ex-pats to be supporting a party that seeks to prevent immigration.

They're immigrants in their new home-land themselves, aren't they?

Pot, kettle??
i agree with monkeymoo :)
You should consider that the ex-pat community is self-selecting. They have a view of the world that made them leave. If you have a lot of money, and are motivated by money, then you will find a way to keep it. that could mean moving out.

It is a huge assumption that ex-pats are of an above average skill set. Give people with below average skills, and a blinkered view of life, a load of money and they may well choose to live in the sun.

There may be people that have such a selfish view that they will take their wheelbarrows full of money with them. These people are not likely to be contributors. They will be people who push for more regressive taxation, reduced public services, and assume that having money makes them better. I'd rather they moaned from abroad.

Many public sector workers do not work for the money but because they believe in what they do. They often work for less than their worth. I've certainly worked with people who could have earned much more, but chose not to.

One sweeping generalisation served with another. Rant over.
do you really think ex pats who are sunning themselves around the globe are giving any thought to the bnp OR blair? they have left the building! what sort of cultural enrichment do you think they provide to the south of spain that we are missing?

have you nothing better to do other than promote racist drivel?
Perhaps the ex-pat community is not representative of the British population as a whole.

Do remember that whenever the British public is given the opportunity to vote for the BNP, then 99% say "No thank you". 99% of the British people recognise the BNP's racism and Nazi / NF roots and reject them absolutely.

A mere 1% is all the BNP ever poll nationally - and not all of those are racists, many are people hoodwinked by the BNP's propaganda..."We've changed, honest guv, we quite like black people now".

Please evidence your assertion that the BNP has massive support among the ex-pat community (not all of whom, I know, are ex-East End criminals and other fraudsters fleeing British justice). As pointed out, their desire to control immigration looks a bit hollow.

And as for their right to express an opinion - you don't live here anymore, chaps.

If the BNP allows some of our more 'colourful' ex-pats to returns, that's yet another reason to fight them!

Morning TT! And pray, do explain, why would removing the vote from people who choose not to live in this country, not to pay UK taxes be undemocratic?

Any more than denying the vote to non-citizens who live with the consequences of such a vote and who work and pay taxes here?

There are fundamental issues here about who should have the right to vote in UK elections. I'm on the side of those who live and pay taxes here. What about you?
The BNP hasn't ganered 'massive' support from expats.

But the're are serious problems with the way the UK is run, which is why so many educated are leaving. Something needs to change.

People will support the BNP in protest, to make the main parties sit up and think, but in reality no one really wants them in power.
british ex-pats make me laugh the same as irish ex-pats. i was in a bar in wales above the bar was a hurley stick. plastic paddys make me blush, why on earth would a british person want to go to spain buy a bar and call it "the whores broken nose"<<<example. insist on serving bacon and eggs to other ex pats who refuse to speak the local language. why dont they move to margate instead and open a B&B at least they wont have to suffer bloody foreigners, well apart from all the asylum seekers of course.
Ex pat here.
No other ex pat I know here would have anything to do with the BNP. Other expats around here are way too clever to fall for them. None of us need to be allowed to return from "exile" as we all make enough to live and travel wherever we like.
I doubt that that's the case. After all, the BNP didn't do so well in the recent elections. But I guess that the BNP and some expats share a generalised loathing of modern Britain. They're not really patriotic, they don't love the country as it is, rather they're in love with a fantasy of what it once was.

The irony, of course, is that some expats hate immigrants to the UK, while they themselves ar immigrants in other countries. They would deny to Poles the same rights they have taken advantage of in Spain. Some would call that hypocritical, I think it's simply a lack of perspective.
