If tehy were assimilated, I wouldn't fight so hard to get rid of them, but If they weren't assimilated, I would be angry, and if they were protesting by flying lets say the Polish flag, I would be hopping mad that they're here. If you're trying to claim racism, I would like to remind you that the English is hopping mad at the legal Polish immigrants are invading their country. Its not color of skin, but culture that gets their ire. Also I would like to remind you that when Germany was reunited, their was hatred towards the East Germans, that flooded into west Germany.

Welcome to Europe's problem. They have a common market where people from 27 countries can travel back and forth. That is why immigrants are a problem there (and they dont really care about skin color like we do here - in general)
If they assimiliated, I dont see the moral problem, after all it is what most of America's population is decended from. But, they should try to become documented.
If they assimilate - it raises different problems than the US has now - both politically and socially. Since this is a hypothetical question it is hard to answer. If they assimilated, your next door neighbor with the cook-outs, the southern accent, and interest in football could be an illegal. You would never know
We will always be against any form of immigration which violates the rights or laws of our citizens. The fact that Mexico sits right next to the United States does not give them a right to ignore our laws and cross the border illegally. There is a legal process in place now, and Mexicans already have an uneven advantange in the immigration process. But the United States does not have any obligation to take in more immigrants than it can thoroughly assimilate. You see, taking in too many immigrants rapidly alters the demographics, and the mindset of a country, which can cause massive legal and political backlash.
Imagine that 12 million barely English Speaking Mexicans pour across the border, and then are accepted as citizens of the United States? What happens when they have children who are locked in as Americans and then produce offspring at a rate much higher than the national average? That is what is happening and it is causing a massive culture shock to Americans who are not used to foreigners. Slow Assimilation is a proven process, and Mexicans should respect that. I understand they want to come here, which makes Americans happy to know, but forcing it down our throats, and us retaliating against it does not at all indicate rascism on America's part. We are an English Speaking, mostly white nation. We accepted the blacks as Americans, we accepted the Asians. We accepted everyone except Mexicans because they are the only group to enter the United States with a sense of arrogant entitlement, as most Americans percieve it.
This isn't about skin color, it's about respect.
