I am an old lady and I'm not in the best of health. I'm doing some work on my car. Just tell me where and when and after my car is good to go, I will volunteer my time to help build that wall. I will even take a shift on border patrol..Our people had better take some drastic action before it is to late.
I can see you feel strongly about this. I'm afraid it just doesn't bother me that much, one way or the other. When we have Americans dying every day in Iraq, and innocent Iraqi's dying because of our involvement, and a president who commutes the sentence of someone whose crimes may have been in support of him, and a vice president declaring he's not part of the executive branch.
To me, illegal aliens are the least of our problems. But hey, that means I'm not fighting against you, either.

I think you and many others have too much time on your hands. Worry about the billions $$$ we are wasting in Iraq for no reason.
Illegal immigration is far from the biggest problem facing this nation. We got a conflict in Iraq that we are stuck in because the Iraqis refuse to form a civilized society. We have a government debt out of control. We have social programs that are on pace to bankrupt this nation. I could name others, but I think someone coming here to make some money is far from a problem compared to the others.
And we are EXPANDING to other cities!yeahh...Cant stop these cities!!
It bothers me when sex offenders can sexually abuse kids run back to the city and be free to strike again.
As for the answer above, the plight of the Iraqi people is something to consider, however, their plight does not have the impact daily on millions of Americans by illegal aliens.
Abuse of our health system, overloading our education system, identity theft, obtaining welfare benefits and housing subsidies by using illegal documents, taking jobs, depleting our economy by sending billions of dollars out of the country. Beyond that are the sex and violent offenders.
All sanctuary cities should be cut off from all federal and state funding.
Secure the border, deport illegal aliens.

Let them call their dirty cities sanctuaries. They are just compiling one problem on top of another. It still doesn't stop Federal law enforcement agencies from doing the jobs they were hired to do. The number of agents are on the rise too. So don't forget that. And if they keep it up, they'll force the U.S government to take action and send in soldiers to protect the Federal agents while they do their jobs.
I agree with Jeannie, cut off federal and state aid to "sanctuary cities". I would add increase funding to cities which offer manpower to assist ICE and the Border Patrol.
The National Guard could be utilized to assist ICE as well.

I didn't know this...thank you for this info. My reaction to it is to Say..cut off all my tax (federal) dollars to those cities. If the state can't control these cities then let the state pay for the care and housing and food and whatever other tax dollar benefits that are being used.
Next, I am not against anyone trying to do better for themselves and their families, but there is a right way to go about it.
Hey, I'm all for a 'wall' provided there are able processing points into this country so we know exactly who is coming in with our southern neighbors ( anyone out there see the movie ' Red Dawn'?). A very possible scenario!
I love my country! It was built by immigrants but most came here the right way.
My personal opinion(yea I know, opinions are like a--h---- everyone has one) anyway I think the people hiring illegals should be fined VERY heavily for EACH illegal they hire and if they repeat it their assets should be frozen and they should get jail time. Also, I think government agencies (food stamps, medical programs, schools) should be more stringent with their requirements for documentation. No, actually I think even if they are here legally to work that they should not get any government subsidized benefits at all.
And we'll see how fast they change their mind on this issue when the Federal Govt stops all Federal funding for anything in their cities, people move away from the area taking their tax base with them, how many businesses close up and move.
The wall should have been built years ago, and employers not just fined, but jailed for this!
