Yes it is amnesty..,how about the people who are here legally and have been waiting in line for years for citizenship,its not fair to them.Lets try enforcing the laws we have and it will take care of the problem and stop prosecuting our border patrol agents that are doing their job.

No bill. Just enforce the laws on the books. Reward legal immigrants like Craig Fergeson with citizenship. Make English the official language. Only allow citizens to work here. That way we can all work. People should only be living and working in their own countries. So if you're not pro American, you shouldn't be living or working here. And if you aren't applying for citizenship and aren't going to be an American, stay out of it. If you're pro American you must like our way of life so adapt to it which means give an American a job, learn English, obey the law. None of these bills addresses anything that hasn't already been addressed and later ignored.
If I can't get a light duty job, welfare or SSI why the hell should a foreigner? that makes no ******* sense.

In every emphatic way, President Bush has declared repeatedly that his immigration bill does not offer amnesty.
And then, on Tuesday, he said it did.
"You know, I've heard all the rhetoric—you've heard it, too—about how this is amnesty," Bush told advocates of his immigration overhaul. "Amnesty means that you've got to pay a price for having been here illegally, and this bill does that."
That's not what Bush meant. Saying that his bill included amnesty was the last thing he meant.
When word started to get out about the gaffe in media reports, the White House scrambled to fix it.

Well the first problem is that its Ted Kennedy the same idiot that promised us a secure border in 1986 Like I would fall for that trick again.
The law on the books offers more border security than this one does. What they are saying is that despite the fact that they just passed those laws in October, they won't fund them unless we take this one. But NOW we are supposed to trust them that they will enforce in the future.
We don't. You can't say 'this is the last time I'm lying' and expect people to trust you.
However, that is only part of the problem with this bill.
And even the government has estimated this bill would reduce illegal immigration only 13%. And it would double legal immigration. And it would create a new class of 'temporary workers' without any way to track when they leave, which will cause more overstays. And will have a 10 year statute of limitations on illegal border crossings going forward to create a permenant 'rolling' amnesty for new illegals.
What was it again about this bill that is supposed to be GOOD?
